Paramount have passed on details of their November 18th release of Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life. The movie will be available with either anamorphic widescreen or Pan&Scan transfers; and DD5.1 English audio.

The extra features will include an audio commentary by director Jan De Bont, six deleted scenes and an alternate ending (with option De Bont commentary), five featurettes, Korn's Did My Time music video, The Davey Brothers' Heart Go Faster music video, Gerard Butler's screen test and DVDROM content.

HOLLYWOOD, September 10, 2003 – The powerhouse summer movie LARA CROFT TOMB RAIDER: THE CRADLE OF LIFE, with Angelina Jolie reprising her role as the enormously popular videogame heroine, arrives on DVD and VHS on November 18, from Paramount Home Entertainment. Order cut-off for the DVD and VHS is October 7.

The Special Collector’s Edition DVD of LARA CROFT TOMB RAIDER: THE CRADLE OF LIFE offers fans the opportunity to follow Lara as she travels to exotic locales on her quest to save Pandora’s Box, plus hours of interactive entertainment:

Commentary by director Jan De Bont

Six deleted scenes and an alternate ending, all with commentary by Jan De Bont

Five featurettes on the film’s training, weapons and vehicles, visual effects, stunts and scoring

Music videos by Korn (“Did My Time”) and by The Davey Brothers (“Heart Go Faster”)

Starring Angelina Jolie (the upcoming Beyond Borders), Djimon Hounsou (The Four Feathers), Noah Taylor (Shine), Ciaran Hinds (Road To Perdition) and Gerard Butler (the upcoming Timeline), LARA CROFT TOMB RAIDER: THE CRADLE OF LIFE finds the resilient, sexy, adventurer on a new mission to carry on her deceased father’s work as an archaeologist and antiquities hunter. When she uncovers an ancient orb that is the map to finding Pandora’s Box, which contains the most unspeakable evil ever known, the intrepid tomb raider travels the world from Greece to Hong Kong and China to East Africa. Demonstrating her physical prowess and her courage, Lara proves that she will stop at nothing in her search for the place known as “The Cradle of Life” which hosts Pandora’s Box. Now, Lara must find the box before it falls into the hands of the maniacal Nobel Prize-winning scientist Dr. Jonathan Reiss (Hinds).

The DVD of LARA CROFT TOMB RAIDER: THE CRADLE OF LIFE is presented in widescreen format enhanced for 16:9 televisions and in full screen format. Both versions feature Dolby Digital English and French 5.1. The DVD is closed-captioned for the deaf and hard of hearing and sub-titled in English.

LARA CROFT TOMB RAIDER: THE CRADLE OF LIFE DVD is priced at $19.95 (M.A.P.) in the U.S. and is expected to be priced around C$20 in Canada.

LARA CROFT TOMB RAIDER: THE CRADLE OF LIFE is rated PG-13 (for action violence and some sensuality) in the U.S. by the Motion Picture Association of America and is rated 14A in Canada. It has a running time of approximately 117 minutes and is encoded with the Macrovision™ Anti-Copy process.
