so i decided to read this book, for work
i dont' know if this is the correct thread, but i thought i would post it here, since it is kind of entertainment based.
It was suggested that i read a book called 'how to win friends and influence people' by Dale Carnegie, for work. I was just wondering if anyone has read this book if you have, please post and tell me if i am getting into the most boring thing in the world, or if i am actually going to gain anything from the reading of this book. Also, for those who have to read books they don't like, do you do anything to make the book more enjoyable??? I was thinking that i should maybe treat this reading as if i were to write an essay for school or something. I will write an essay, then give it to one of my supervisors, and maybe move up quicker or something. If i did this, and created an essay that all the employees could read in reference to our job, i might get their attention and they might actually realise that i'm intelligent and very capable of moving up, and doing well. (probably better than most of the people who are higher up in the company i work for). Anyway, anyone have any insight on any of the questions/info that i have given here?? |

I've read it.
Just your usual clap trap of positive thinking, self-empowerment, tips that really won't get you anywhere crap. I know how to shake hands and make eye-contact. I also know not to pick my butt in front of a prospective employer. Quote:
