Lost Boys 2

Got this news from here:

Dark Horizons

The Lost Boys 2: A few more rumblings from within Warners today from another top source (this one to remain anonymous) - this time in regards to a sequel to one of the best vampire movies of the 80's - "You wouldn't believe how many times this has been off and on the books. When I first got my shoe-in at the studio, it was a go picture. Then, someone got wind of just how crappy the screenplay was. Anyway, Joel Schumacher is back in the good books with Warner, he is apparently retooling his Batman movies for a SE dvd set, and while there has been planning it and has signed on to executive producer the Lost Boys sequel. Once again, Lions Gate's Cabin Fever and New Line's Freddy vs Jason can be thanked - or blamed - for this. Horror is the No.1 priority on all the studio's list. They wanted Schumacher to direct, but he's not interested. This isn't the Lost Girls idea that was going around, a straight sequel to that first one. Kiefer Lives or something...ha
I really hope they don't make a sequel. The first one was so great.

I loved Lost Boys. I think they should leave it alone, as it's just been too long to make a sequel that will make the fans of the original happy. It's a whole different audience now; they should make something new instead of trying to make a buck off the name of the original.

Lost Boys is an amazing film - it does not need a sequel.
The stand out funniest thing ever is the little brother's character. Just check out how girly they make him!

How the fuck will they get both Coreys back in the sequel?!?!? (Because that's all that really matters.)

Ditto. I loved the movie. I can still hear the song in my head. "thall shall not kill..."

Sweet.

it will be easy to get both cory's back, they ain't busy except for the occasional celebrity boxing and what not. Unless od course they are dead. I know there careers are but maybe they are too. In that case they would make perfect vampires?!?! They can do some lost boys meets weekend at bernies thing with there corpses, sounds like and ocsar winner to me right (joking, if you couldn't tell)

I just watched The Lost Boys the other day on Cinemax or HBO or something. I hadn't seen it in probably 10 years. Ya know, I liked it alot more 10 years ago. I know that I will probably get some other opinions on this, but I dont think this movie would come anywhere close to making it if it was released this year. It was pretty cheesy.

Maybe it is a "cult" film or something. I think you guys should watch it again and tell me what you think about it now.

I look at the movie as being made 20 years ago so when I watch it in my mind its 1985 or whatever so to me it stands up every time.
