Cabin Fever? You mean that Irish low budget "reality tv" show, with a group of annoying pain-in-the-asses stuck together not on and island, or in a house, but in a boat?
Wait a minute...."Evil Dead"? !Gore!!? No I guess you're talking about something different. (Although I REALLY wish you weren't! )

I heard an interview with the director of Cabin Fever on NPR. He said that it was in the same vein as Evil Dead & Dead by Dawn. He also mentioned a lot of influence from David Lynch and seemed to be friends with him. I wasn't interested in the movie by the previews, but it sounded interesting when I heard the interview with the director.

This was one of the worst horror movies I have ever, ever seen. 80's humor my ASS, did you see the ending? It wasn't scary at all, it was gross yes, but definitley not scary. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone, unless I hated them and wanted them to have a miserable time.

I thought it was fantastic. While it had some very funny parts, it tended to be more scary than evil dead, but kept in the blood spattering tradition. Believe you me, there was much projectile vomiting of blood. It has some chlices, a few things you know will happen, but it also has some completely unexpected parts that will freak you out, if not really scare you.
Great characters, the beer loving, gun-toting dumb guy reminded me a LOT of one of my friends. The dialog was decent as well, the college kids spoke like college kids, without many cheesy lines. If that doesn't convince you, one of the very hot chicks gets naked within the first 10 minutes of the movie. A throwback to when actresses in horror movies weren't afraid to show a little skin. In conclusion, this movie kicks ass and you should go see it. |

I was definitely disappointed. I sat through the movie constantly repeating "WTF!?!" because it didnt flow very well. Didnt explain a lot of things very well. Its been a horrible summer for horror movies.

I don't plan on seeing this movie, horror movies these days tend to suck anyway.

I thought this movie was hilarious... I'm not sure if I was supposed to, but that's beside the point. I laughed harder than I do during most comedies. Does anyone know what the name of that hillbilly song was that all those hicks played at the end? Man I'd love to get a recording of that. Sooo awesome!

The Deputy really took away from the movie...no one is so dumb to totally ignore all the blood on the truck without being at least a little suspicious. Other than that and a few other spots in the movie that were kind of rediculous, I really enjoyed the movie.

I dont think it was supposed to be scarry. to me, it seemed like they tried to ridicule horror movies.
i didn't view it as a horror movie, but rather a comedy. I usually don't laugh when people get hurt or maimed...hah...but this was different. I'd give it a 6 - 7, not 9 or 10 - because there are definately better movies out there. |

I liked it - it was definately better than a lot of those lame slasher movies. It was original.
The ending was great - the rifle joke and the lemonade. It's worth seeing. People either loved it or hated it. You need to be at least somewhat intune to the genre to appreciate it. Aspects of the movie were amazing. Nothing really bothered me, but the more I think about it, the more unnecessary I find the karate scene. Not to say I didn't like it; I laughed extremely hard, but it was irrelevent. Then again, a lot of life's occurrences are irrelevent, so I guess that contributes to its realism. Worth seeing.

Snore. The movie was neither funny nor scary. The black guys and the lemonade was not funny. I had this movie made out to be a mega gorefest, and I was sadly disappointed. Day of the Dead is a mega gorefest. This movie is best viewed by those in a coma.

Usually, I'm not a big fan of the horror genre. Most of the horror movies I've seen weren't the least bit scary to me, so they had to be appealing in humor and/or action and/or drama. (Thus, Halloween was a boring pile of shit.)
I really enjoyed this movie. Nah, I wouldn't call it scary, although it made a better attempt at reaching that plateau than 90% of the horror movies I've seen. I got enjoyment out of it because it was funny, absurd in an entertaining way, and just plain fun to watch. I recommend it highly.

My girlfriend and I tried to watch this movie the other night, made it to about half way mark and gave up....Merky water, running uphill w/o a pump and coming out of the faucet clear as day and drinkable? Perhaps im not a fan of the genre.
