T.V Identifications
I'm getting quite upset with those damn T.V Identifications at the bottom of the screen. They kep on getting bigger and bigger. They used to be almost detectable, small and semi-clear. now those rat bastards are big and unclear. My theroy is if you can't remember what damn TV station you are watching, you should be shot. Am I the only one who think this?

Its not about remembering what station you are watching. Its about imprinting the station into your mind, so its the first thing you think of when you turn on the TV. If you can remember what station you were watching, you are probably more likely to watch it again.
While I agree that they are becoming larger, the increase in semi-transparent logos is increasing. You don't need to have something blocking the screen, when something that you can still see (albeit see-through) is still visible and recognizable, thereby serving the same purpose.

Actually, it's usually about identifying the network if used elsewhere. A lot of news stations (CNN, FOX, MSNBC and the like) were carrying feeds from other networks without proper credit.
Local stations started developing them as well for the same reason, to get proper credit when the big network picks up the feed as their own original work.

some of them are transparent and they're not that bad.
i think local stations are bigger culprits here than the networks.

they are only bad when they block stuff on the program. local network affilliates are the worst, as theirs are usually big and solid

A lot of them aren't that bad because they are transparent like The_Dude said. Sometimes they can be annoying though when they are blocking things but I actually hardly notice them.

What about when during the News shows they keep telling you what news show your watching, right after a commercial for that exact same show. Are the afraid you will forget what you are watching in 2-3 seconds.

the bugs for ID aren't so bad.. it's the god awful plugging of shows while you're watching the channel. Discovery did that for a good while and lots of other stations are picking up on it. Soon enough they will be full blown commercials there too... sucks.
