Nip/Tuck
Ok ok so the name sucks IMO but the show is awesome! For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about... It's an hour long weekly drama(?) about two plastic surgeons who work in south Florida. The two main characters have been friends for a very long time and are very different, one is a kind of a square failing father type, and the other is a partying bachelor (that gets laid at least twice in every show!). Ok that is about as basic as I can go. There is so much more to the show than that.
This is one of the first shows for a very long time that I've actually wanted to watch regularly. The writing and acting is pretty spectacular, not boring for an instant. If you don't want to take my word for it, it's on every Tuesday at 10. (and if you haven't seen a commercial about it you probably live in a cave!) I also just saw that there is going to be a marathon next monday at 9. So check it out. I don't want this show to go under! Let me know if you're a Nip/tuck fan! I want to hear everyones view on this show!

It's also replayed on Friday at 11pm and I belive on Sunday.
I liked it right off the bat but now it's starting to wane on me. Just how far can they take the concepts and situations. I also thought they were brothers and not friends... but I could be way off on that one. It's good, I try and catch each episode, I hope it builds it self up.

Yeah, so far it has been pretty good story lines. I am willing to give it time to mature, but it does seem like there are only a limited number of shows in this theme. We may be saying something else when the second season starts reusing plots.

People actually like Nip/Tuck? Wow, I didn't think people would actually watch that show. I thought it looked like a huge flop, perhaps i'll check it out now.

So who's seen this show? Last night was the second episode.
I kinda like it. Its an original concept, it shows gory operating room stuff, there's sure to be the requisite T&A (like the cheerleader lesbian scene!) What say you?

My wife and I watch it regularly.
(She has to look away at the gore scenes) Really make me never want to have plastic surgery though I wonder if they will bring back Christan's girlfriend (and the car!)

I watched both episodes, and I really like it. I thought it would end up being crap after seeing the ads for it, but there's something about it I like. I plan on watching the next few episodes, hoping it will stay interesting. I don't have cable (bought one of those powered antennas to get some channels) so my selection of shows is quite limited, and I'm really glad this ones on a channel I get.

i'm still watching it... the second and so far the third havent been as good as the first season...
after the first season it seems to be more drama and less fun... but whatever... my friends and I have been trying to figure out who is the carver... I'm thinking its the new BI doctor thats joined the practice...

Could it really have been Christian?! Is it possible that all along Christian has had disassociative disorder because of his self loathing, and it became so powerful that his other persona became a killer?!
I dunno. The show is really entertaining. |

i agree with strider, but my film major friend thinks that would be lousy writing. right now i am wondering if maybe sean attacked kit to save christian because there is no way the carver would strike again after planting the condom.

i certainly hope they don't take sean out of the game.. this seems like one of those really melodramatic ways of telling the viewers that someone's contract expired. the show just won't be anything if sean leaves.

They can't lose Sean or Christian and hope the series will continue. This is just an attempt at getting a moral character grounded after so much immorality. If I hear another 'pain-trade' statement (i.e. "i'll show you my pain if you show me yours"", or "i have to feel your pain", or "pain, pain pain"), I'll watch something else.

i really understand where you're coming from. i really liked the show because it was not another "The OC" and not another sissy soap opera where everyone bitches and moans all the time. In that respect, the show has been doing down the shitter... i just hope they pull out of it.
IMO the most interesting episodes were when they were dealing with the drug guy.

YES!!!! those were the best episodes... my favorite part of the second season was when sean was dreaming or whatever and he was in the operating room and he asked for a scalpal and that guy hands him a gun...

yeah. i sure hope the show gets a whole new surge of badass like that instead of something highly dramatic.
by the way, i heard somewhere that halfway through the season we find out who the carver is, doesn't that mean next week? :O who d'you guys think itis?

yah i almost wish they would bring back the drug guy... but at the same time it would prolly make the show worse... being a desperate attempt to bring it back to its former greatness...
as for the carver.. i still think it might be the bi doctor... kinda works... but kinda doesnt... i think i would be mad if i turned out to be right... and LOL at last nights episode... that was pretty gross... i bet it'll be great to see the fallout when it comes out what their secret ingredient is...

Last night's episode was one of the best of the season so far, in my opinion. A good change of pace from the last 2 or 3 episodes. Reminded me of the previous seasons. On a side note, does anyone know what song was playing when Christian and the "Kimber look-alike" were having sex?

Fantascit episode! I was relieved to see Christian and Sean operating on some quasi-impossible case again. It brings back memories. I sincerly hope that this is a turn back to the original show: immoral christian battleing woth morals, moral sean being outraged and morally tested, and Matt not saying anything. Is anyone else sick of the sarcastic superteenager version of Matt? Jeez.

oh man i cant believe no one bumped this thread after the last episode... i didnt have a chance to watch it untill this morning
holy smokes! i think the carver got kimber.... cuz there was a knock at her door and she said come in sean, and the door opened but they never showed who it was... if it had been sean i dont think he would have let her take off... and if sean was already there she wouldnt have had to write the message... and if the carver did get her it still does not rule out my quentin(bi doctor) is the carver theory. He was in the area dropping off Julia, and he wasnt actually attending the wedding. cant wait to see tonites episode!

that was a GREAT episode. I enjoyed it a lot. this season has had some good episodes and some bad episodes but the good ones are getting to be GREAT!
I find myself less interested in the carver and more interested in each of the character's personal problems.....

Is this the begnning of the re relationship between Sean and Julia? Now that he's figured out that he's moral, but kinda a puss, and that Julia had a lot more strength than he ever knew....who knows. Carver = Lex Luthor from Smallville, maybe? |

quite a season finale!
i had expected quintin to be the carver... didnt expect the thing with Kit being his sister that was crazy... i was so hoping Ariel would come through and call the cops on her dad... thats just some messed up stuff right there.. this season finale episode seem pretty wrapped up in comparison with the cliffhanger ones i remember from the other seasons...
