I have learned that I have to be very selective about what I choose to watch with my GF. It sucks because I have a very, shall we say, eclectic taste in movies.
My GF got up and left while we were watching Dead Alive without saying a word. Didn't call me for two days. (BTW, Isn't Dead Alive and Braindead the same movie?) We watched Lost Highway and she hasn't stopped giving me shit about it. She thoroughly refused to sit through Mulholland Drive. She had a severe allergic reaction to Clerks and Dogma. Our viewing of Monty Python and the Holy Grail was a complete disaster of an evening. but it DOES go both ways: She Saran-wrapped me to my lounge chair and made me watch The Sweetest Thing and City of Angels with her. I swear, I could feel my testicles shriveling up. Since then I just watch my "weird" movies by myself.

Mulholland Drive. I watched that with an ex and his buddy, or should I say started watching it. Got to the lesbian sex scene and they were getting all nuts and saying how hot the girls were. I could swear I felt my guys dick get hard and I turned psycho angry in seconds!
Later on that evening, he was yelling at me and wondering why I was so pissed. I ripped my shirt off in front of him and asked him if he thought I was hot, if I got his dick as hard as that bitch on the film did. Perhaps a little stupid jealousy on my part, but I was young and wasn't clearly thinking at the time. Plus I had too much to drink.. |

I have more problems watching chick flicks than anything else.
My husband and I spend every Friday night with a bottle of tequila and a B horror movie. Some of the best movies ever made, right there! lol.

Requiem for a Dream, any Star Trek Movie (that was funny, my friend just looked at me (she has this look she gives that just stops me cold, it scares the crap out of me) and said "Change it.") and um...well, generally staying away from science fiction is a good idea

these films all came to my mind as well. as for all of this listing of American Psycho and Mulholland Drive - my ex absolutely loved these films. and i wouldn´t hesitate to watch these again with another girlfriend. i think that if she couldn´t stand these films, then i doubt we´d have been attracted to each other in the first place.

In the Company of Men was the first to come to my mind - glad that was represented here.
Baise-Moi Home-made porn involving another girl A Boy and His Dog If you have a dog, I can't recommend this one enough. Anything involving a girl having to get an abortion (especially by herself) |

Yeah I agree with Resorvoir Dogs, all the girls we watched it with fucking hated it, while all us guys thought it was the fucking greatest. I actually know one girl who likes Clockwork Orange, says it has good visuals.

I'm going to suggest to NEVER watch ANY romantic-comedy with your girlfriend. Most romantic-comedies will only implant false ideals of love into most woman's head. Most men can not live up to these ideals.
Also, never watch any movie on the Lifetime network. I like to call Lifetime the "Men are evil network". |

If your SO doesn't like Jay and Silent Bob, Clerks, Chasing Amy, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail (or any Python movies for that matter), then its either time to buy her a personality, or time to get a new SO.
While all these movies played well with my GF, you guys were dead on about Vietnam movies. She hasn't been able to sit through one of these at home, and just try to get her to go to the movies to see one. I have to watch a months worth of chic flics to make up for making her watch one. |

Hey, female here, and I loved American Psycho! I also really enjoy Star Trek movies and a few others listed. I guess I'm just not your average girl.

I feel bad for a lot of the guys here. My wife and I own about 95% percent of all the movies that were said in this thread and she loves them all. Hell I bought her Calgulia for her birthday and she loved it. As for scary movies, bring on ITALIAN HORROR, its the best FUCKED up shit.
Peace.

I agree with some of the above posters, what is wrong with some of your g/f's!? I've watched Clockwork Orange, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Clerks, Office Space, Reservoir Dogs, and many other similar films with my g/f and she loves them!
A couple of her favorite movies are Fight Club and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas!
