Sometimes, I am reminding that life is unfair. :p

I have learned that I have to be very selective about what I choose to watch with my GF. It sucks because I have a very, shall we say, eclectic taste in movies.

My GF got up and left while we were watching Dead Alive without saying a word. Didn't call me for two days. (BTW, Isn't Dead Alive and Braindead the same movie?)

We watched Lost Highway and she hasn't stopped giving me shit about it.

She thoroughly refused to sit through Mulholland Drive.

She had a severe allergic reaction to Clerks and Dogma.

Our viewing of Monty Python and the Holy Grail was a complete disaster of an evening.

but it DOES go both ways:

She Saran-wrapped me to my lounge chair and made me watch The Sweetest Thing and City of Angels with her. I swear, I could feel my testicles shriveling up. Since then I just watch my "weird" movies by myself.

The only genre I have to avoid with my girlfriend is horror. She freaks out pretty easily.

Mulholland Drive. I watched that with an ex and his buddy, or should I say started watching it. Got to the lesbian sex scene and they were getting all nuts and saying how hot the girls were. I could swear I felt my guys dick get hard and I turned psycho angry in seconds!

Later on that evening, he was yelling at me and wondering why I was so pissed. I ripped my shirt off in front of him and asked him if he thought I was hot, if I got his dick as hard as that bitch on the film did. Perhaps a little stupid jealousy on my part, but I was young and wasn't clearly thinking at the time. Plus I had too much to drink..

I have more problems watching chick flicks than anything else.
My husband and I spend every Friday night with a bottle of tequila and a B horror movie. Some of the best movies ever made, right there! lol.

I can watch any movie but war movies.... but I don't think my boyfriend likes those anyways....

as for all of this listing of American Psycho and Mulholland Drive - my ex absolutely loved these films. and i wouldn´t hesitate to watch these again with another girlfriend.
i think that if she couldn´t stand these films, then i doubt we´d have been attracted to each other in the first place.

While all these movies played well with my GF, you guys were dead on about Vietnam movies. She hasn't been able to sit through one of these at home, and just try to get her to go to the movies to see one. I have to watch a months worth of chic flics to make up for making her watch one.

28 Days Later is an excellent movie, but it's also the least romantic thing ever created. I brought my girlfriend. It's hard to be cuddly after people begin to eat each other, zombie vomit 'n' organs spraying everywhere.

I haven't found many females that can sit through I Spit On Your Grave. I had trouble with it myself, took two sittings to finish it.
