Best Musical Movie Moment
What's your favorite Musical-related scene in a film?
I'm not talking about an entire film, but one scene in a musical or non-musical film that stood out. I have a couple which come to mind, for me. The "Tango De Roxanne" number from "Moulan Rouge" The Hanging Scene from "Dancer in the Dark" The Finale from "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" and "Cuban Pete" from "The Mask" (Just for Nostaligic reasons"

The "Tiny Dancer" scene in Almost Famous.
And the duel scene in Crossroads, but that might just be because I'm a Steve Vai fanatic.

This is from a non musical movie, but the scene worked really well with the music and there wasn't too much dialogue. Its the climax scene from Requiem for a Dream, when the lives of all the main characters are getting fucked to hell. The song, Lux Aeterna, really got my emotions going for those three minutes or so.

The Inquisition scene from History of the World, Part I
The scene in Billy Madison where Adam Sandler sings is a classic...seen it a dozen times and still laugh my ass off at it.

The scene in Charly and the Chocolate Factopry with everyone in the tunnel and Spinach_Indeed's avatar starts singing (sorry, I can't remember his name). It's really creepy. Then they show the bugs....ewww...

"El Tango De Roxanne" from Moulin Rouge. dear God, probably one of the most searingly beautiful scenes ever shot, and the version of the song is just incredible. we use to listen to that before we'dd go out onstage for a show, it got us all pumped up.

I would say at least of half of the music scenes in High Society - with that first (only?) movie duet of Sinatra and Crosby placing very high on my list of favourites.
Also love the songs from the Road films when Bob Hope and Bing Crosby sing together or Bing sings to Dorothy Lamour |

What about Elton John singing Pinball Wizard in Tommy. Can someone tell me what this film/musical was about?
