Flix: streaming movies and reviews
I thought it pertinent that we create a thread like this since most of us use netflix and stream a lot of movies. So this is a thread specifically for that, not for ones needed to be mailed (altho honorable mentions are fine), but the ones that can be streamed. Give the title, the year, your score (1 to 5) and a short summary.
My current favorite pick that's live streaming is Serenity. Great movie. I'd give it somewhere around 4 out of 5 stars. I mean, how often do you get to see a space western? If they'd have had a bigger budget it'd have been 5/5. They pick up a couple of fugitives and find themselves running for their lives from several factions. 2005 |

Having a video store in the family we already get most English language movies so I usually go for foreign language or indie flix that just don't rent well in my area or that we have to pass on due to budget constraints.
Ip Man is one of the better movies I've streamed so far. It's semi-autobiographical story of the Wing Chun Grandmaster martial artist taking place during the Second Sino-Japanese War. The story is great, and the fight choreography is amazing. 5/5 Netflix: Ip Man 2008

we stay away from streaming video... the 60 gb/month cap on our IP service is hit just with normal usage that most movies are obtained from the video store or borrowed from friends. Just ploughed through Spartacus: Blood & Sand.
amazing flick. Working on Mad Men Season 2 now.

I'll have to look at this. I almost went with a 3rd party provider a couple of months ago when the whole fiasco around the imposition of caps hit the fan.
I also have bundling rates grandfathered in with Roger's going back to when we first got high speed internet in '99 that allows us to have cheaper TV cable with channel selections that are no longer available and cell phone plans with no SAF. So I need to analyze what i get / lose if I switch. Thanks for the link tho!

You call them bundling discounts. I prefer to think of them as the fewer-services tax.
Just sayin'. EDIT - Zeraph, please accept my humble apologies for derailing your thread. We actually have Netflix in my household, but I'm not the one who uses it so I have little of value to contribute.
