My favorites are:
Guyver
Alien biological suit of armor that instill the user great power.

Neon Genesis Evengalion.
Story of kids that control these massive cybernetic things to save there city from the likes of beasts.

Avatar: The Last Airbender.
The story of a boy that can control the forces of nature to bring balance to a world in turmoil and war set upon by an evil Fire lord.

Bleach- about gods of death and their struggle against dark spirits

Cowboy Bebop- bounty hunters. in space. nuff said

Elfen Lied- nice short series, sad and beautiful. About a girl with genetic super powers

Hellsing- Dragula (Alucard), updated story with guns
