Help Me Remember a Horror Movie
 

There's this horror movie that a saw a few scenes of... once... when I was in gradeschool. Now I'm trying to remember it and I can't figure it out - please help me!

I saw it on one of the movie channels late at night, and from what I've pieced together in my memory there was a scene with some sort of ritual sacrifice or something. A dark room, probably naked female or something, chains, and sacrifice. It may have been the beginning of the movie. I think the movie jumped forward in time after that, and I remember there was something where these two characters got sucked into another dimension and had some sort of device I think. This other dimension was very dark and probably scary, and I think they were separated when brought into this other dimension. They were able to communicate somehow though, maybe through the device, I don't know. I barely even know if the bits I'm remembering are accurate.

Does anyone have a clue what this is?

Nope, doesn't sound right :/ My memory of this is so vague and it was so long ago, I'm probably never going to figure it out. For a moment, I thought it might have been Amityville 1992: It's About Time, but then I watched the trailer for that and it doesn't seem right either. The two characters I remember are, I think, a male and female, both around maybe 18 years old.

It sounds like Hellraiser to me.

Definitely not Hellraiser; it wasn't a decent or well-known movie, which is part of the problem :p

Phantasm III

That's my guess as well, though I've only ever seen the first one. The scenes in another dimension are very scary.

Oooh, that looks promising, thanks! Even if it's not the right movie, that series looks awesome. I love the tagline for Phantasm IV: "The sci-fi horror thriller.... with balls!"
