Do NOT watch the trailer for Death at a Funeral (Chris Rock)
If you see a movie trailer and it starts with Chris Rock at a funeral, close your eyes, cover your ears, turn off the TV, run out of the room, do whatever you can to NOT SEE THE TRAILER. It is for the remake of Death at a Funeral and it gives away some of the funniest parts of the whole damn movie. Better yet, just rent the original. It's only a couple years old and it is funny as Hell. I bet the remake will be funny too, but only about half as funny to the people who had all the good parts ruined by the trailer.
Why do they do that anyway? If I had not already seen the original, and then I saw the remake, I'd be pissed.

If they call it a comedy and the trailer isn't chock full of funny parts, nobody would show up.

Death at a Funeral doesn't seem to be Chris Rock's style. I can't imagine him doing the original justice.

Okay, I watched it. I watched the trailers to both movies.
I'm thinking it might actually work. (Mind you, I didn't see the original.) It seems different enough in that it's been "transposed" comedically (from "British" humour to "American" humour). We saw a similar thing happen with The Office. I thought it was dumb that they did an American version, but look how that turned out. I kinda want to see both films to see how they differ. I remember seeing the original trailer back before its release and wanting to see it, but I never got around to it.
