"Lawman" with Steven Seagal
Does anybody actually like the show? I tried to watch it. It's just horrible. Bad bad bad. I never liked him much anyway, but now he's a bloated 50-something. He's not a real cop. He is, though, a very bad actor.
It seems like TV just gets worse every season. Jersey Shore? Hell no. If I met someone who told me that he goes by the name "The Situation" I would laugh my ass off. Well, I hate 99.9% of "Reality" TV shows, anyway. I'm certainly not trying to put anybody down. If you like shows like that, more power to you. As for me, I'm seriously considering cancelling cable and going strictly with Netflix and downloading. I can barely stand History or Discovery anymore. Too many silly shows. Too many "Ghost" shows. A&E sucks. TLC is done. syfy is totally screwed up. I find myself pretty much only watching: Scrubs, NCIS, House, MSNBC, NFL, etc. I could save a heck of a lot of money by going OTA/Netflix/Streaming/etc. Sorry for the rant. Back to the original question. Does anybody actually watch Lawman? (Or Jersey Shore?)

I watched an episode of Lawman today.. It's like if Cops was a theatrical released film, Lawman would be the Direct to DVD Steven Seagal knockoff of it.
He's only done one movie that I liked called Fire Down Below. I'm obviously bias because the filming was done in Kentucky and was about the coal mines. It also had the John Prine song Paradise in the credits which is talking about a town that was about 25 miles from my house. Maybe not a big deal to you new yorkers that have 20 movies a year based in your city but Ky probably doesn't have 30k people in the county.

When I was stationed up in North Florida (1994 or so) Seagal toured the base and was taken on a MH-53 helicopter flight. I was not on the flight but I knew people on the crew. Anyways, Seagal was playing up his bad-ass persona. But then he barfed all over the inside of the helicopter. Now, to be fair, it was a Special Ops aircraft and they probably did some crazy shit. But what made me laugh is that the Martial-arts bad-boy tough-guy asked everyone to never tell anybody that he blew chunks. Dude couldn't even use the supplied barf-bags, just made a friggin' mess all over the place. I wish digital cameras were out then! Shit would have been all over the internet within a couple of hours. It's not the fact that he made the Technicolor Yawn several times. It's the fact that he was so concerned about his image.
For the record, I never threw up. But if I had, so what? You go pull some positive and negative G's in a Special Ops MH-53 or MC-130H, there's nothing wrong with barfing. Seagal is just a boob.

well unlike most of us, he does make his living based on his image and how people perceive him
I mean, yeah, an intelligent person realizes that he is just an actor and that there is nothing wrong with barfing in that situation, but they don't always make their money off intelligent people |
