Another pretty tough quote I'd like some help with
That world's toughest movie quote thread about someone saying "make you strong, like bull" reminded me of something that's been bugging me for a long time. I think this is because I can't remember a crucial word of the quote but there might be enough to jog someone's memory. It goes like this: "Stay out of ----!" In which the ---- is the name of the town, city or place that I can't remember. It might be more like "Stay outta ----!". It's said by someone with a fairly blue-collar American accent. The line is shouted by a male, I think after someone has been beaten up or is running away after being beaten. I think the place name only has one or two sylables and is perhaps a shortened version used by those who live there. (Like saying Jersey instead of New Jersey or Dodge in stead of Dodge City). Whoever says the line is from the place and whoever it's said to is an outsider. I think the scene probably ends after this line: a simple and brutal lesson has been taught to that person in a place where disputes get settled by violence. The character who it's said to might have been sneaking or spying or is in some way devious or deceitful. It might be the Wild West but I can't say for sure. This is still really vague I know, it could be lots of things. I'm sure it's in something modern (i.e. no older than 10 or 15 years old) and I have a feeling Christian Bale might say it - or have it said to him, though I've been over his list of films and none of them seems likely. My only other idea is that it might have been said by someone in the Sopranos perhaps like: "Stay out of Jersey!" Or it could be De Niro or some other sort of gangster saying it... I don't know! So any suggestions are much appreciated. |

I can't remember the name of the movie, but I'm guessing this is the scene in the dragon movie where Matthew McConahay kicks Christian Bale's ass (or vice versa)...check imdb and find the dragon movie.

I don't think that's from Reign of Fire because McConahay's character is encroaching on Bale's character's castle in that part (specifically, he's trying to recruit dragon-killers from Bale's band of survivors, and Bale wasn't having it).
I'll be thinking about where this quote is from for a while. |
