40 Years of Monty Python
On October 5 1969 BBC One first broadcast a quirky little show called "Monty Python's Flying Circus." And now, for something completely different, the headlines in this gallery will have absolutely nothing to do with the photos and will instead be quotes from the show. Here's a shot of the boys imitating broadcaster Alan Whicker.
Monty Python: 40 Years of Insanity - Photo Gallery, 21 Pictures - LIFE What's everyone's favourite Monty Python skit? I vote for the Dead Parrot Skit.

I would have a hard time picking a favorite skit (maybe the translation book skit), but Monty Python & the Holy Grail is my favorite MP movie.

Argument Clinic is also a favourite of mine but I went into giggle fits with Ministry of Silly Walks and Spanish Inquisition.
I enjoyed the 'bumps' also, looking forward the the "ITS", "and now for something completely different" and whatever paper-cut wonders there were to be. I hadn't realized it was their anniversary. All the better for Palin's dairy of the Python Years recently published. |
