Yes, I heard about this. It has my man Jet Li so I'm looking forward to it. Not having any expectations other than lots of explosion and shooting and perhaps a few stabbed people here and there.
Like the cast ensemble too.

David Carradine's a good choice, but I would've definitely like to have seen Van Damme in this. Also high on my list is Wesley Snipes and Jackie Chan (since they already have Jet Li in it).
Yeah, I don't plan on the story/plot or whatever to actually be good. But, with a cast like this, the action will definitely be worthwhile. At least I would hope so.

Hahaha I just read about the reasons why JCVD and Snipes couldn't do this. JCVD said his character did not have enough character development. Are you shitting me? Not enough character development? When has any of his characters had good character development.
And Snipes....shouldn't have committed tax fraud...

huuuh?! Did you see JCVD? I mean the movie titled JCVD?! That whole movie was nothing but character development! I think that's one thing that sets him apart from a lot of the other actions stars... blah blah blah |

I must comment that both Stallone and Rourke both have fucked up looking faces after all that surgery.
Still looks like a cool flick.

I've been looking forward to this flick for a few months, now...
Awesome is the only fitting word.

I got to see the trailer in the theaters (the ONLY thing I enjoyed about my Kick-Ass experience). I almost came.
This thing looks awesome.

Right? If it wasn't for that preview, that would have been a total waste of money...

I just saw the trailer before Iron Man 2. I heard the guy behind me yell out "Holy shit, what is this fucking movie???" when they started going through the cast.
I got a funny feeling this one's gonna do well.

I'm starting to lose interest in seeing this film.
Does anyone else get the feeling that Stallone doesn't get that the reason the over-the-top, bombastic juvenile action flicks of the eighties are looked upon with fond nostalgia is because we love the ridiculousness of them when they were played with a straight face? I'm afraid that Stallone will give lip-service to the campy adolescent fantasy, but still expect the audience to take it seriously, which is missing the point.

I'm going to see it just for pure entertainment value, with little expectation for it to be more than an amazing conglomeration of all of my favorite action stars (plus Stallone, who I tolerate because he makes wonderful drinking game movies) blowing up shit and killing people.
And hopefully Statham and Li will have scenes without shirts. Maybe even with motor oil involved. But not Stallone. Or Lundgren. Yikes. Movie moobs...

that would be the AA-12 the "special " shell they used is supposed to be in development, cause the army is not really interested in an auto shotgun- an auto mini grenade launcher, that they really want.........
