What anime character has won your affection?

Ok - I admit it. I have a crush on an anime character.
It has developed slowly over time.
With each new season, I become more enthralled.

- wears cute glasses
- tests at the top of his class
- designs clothing and speed-sews
- has a cross that transforms into a bow
- respects his family by carrying on a challenging, life-endangering tradition

Shinobu Nagumo from Patlabor 2 was an interesting character. I mean no offense to anime fans, but a lot of anime characters lack a certain depth and I find it difficult to really relate to them. Captain Nagumo managed to really hold my attention, though. On the surface she's a brilliant woman, a sort of "by the book" type, but underneath her emotions are often boiling. Her relationship with Yukihito Tsuge really helped to round her character into something complex and real.

I don't know if I'd call her attractive, a lot of that depends on the artist and really anime tends to exaggerate features, but if a real woman were like the way she's presented I'd certainly be intrigued. I find a combination of maturity and passion attractive in real women.

I've always had a thing for Haruko Haruhara of FLCL (Fooly Cooly).

It's part looks, part attitude. (Mostly attitude. I don't know...I have a thing for crazy.)

I highly recommend FLCL, btw.

Cartoons would be a separate thread. I'd mention that there once was a thread titled something like "cartoon characters I'd like to fuck", but we don't say that sort of thing anymore, so why not start a new one?

On topic... I'm not attracted to the anime drawing style.

I have those games, I was never attracted to her though because she has like zero personality. *shrug* I guess I like em to be a lil more livelier, but thats what she gets for being a robot :p
