Good Omens
There is a great book out there, by the name of Good Omens by Neil Gaimen and Terry Pratchet.
Anyone who has a good (or, at the very least, quirky) sense of humour will love it. I have yet to meet anyone who had read it and disliked it. I myself have owned about six copies of this wonderful book. No- we're not talking about an obsessive Conspiracy Theory tendency, i just have a bad habit of lending it out to people. These people in turn love it, and neglect to return it to me. Leaving me, once again, without a copy. Now to the point: In one of the footnotes near the beginning of the book there is an odd yet accurate description of England's monetary values . If there is anyone out there who has a copy of the book onhand, and ten minutes to spare, would you be so kind as to copy that paragraph out for me? I've been trying (and failing) to quote that to a friend of mine for about three months now, and he's beginning to disbelieve there is such a quote... Please and thanks!

You're lucky as I both have a copy of the book and am looking for anything to fill up my time.

Everyone seems to love this book but me. I mean don't get me wrong, it was'nt bad but it was'nt great either. This is particularly odd since I love both Prachet and Gaiman and I really feel like it was sub par for both of them.
Gaiman's two other books are both increadable, and any of the diskworld books will be funny enugh to just make your day sparkle. On another note I'm supprised that no one mentioned that its going to be made into a movie (at least thats what the rummors floating about say) and by Terry Gilliam no less http://www.smart.co.uk/dreams/gofact.htm (love that guy) I can't really think of anthing I would rather see on screen. Lets all just hope it doesn't go the way of "the man from la Mancha"
