a mighty wind (christopher guest film)
man, my girl and i really want to see this...we really loved best in show and waiting for guffman.

I have the same problem. I live in Knoxville and we even have an "arts" cinema, but it hasn't opened here. Looks like you and I will be waiting for the video.
|
i'll be seeing it in LA when it comes out, and I'll let y'all know how it went
|
I went and saw Laurel Canyon this weekend at a smaller artsy theater who is expecting to show the film next month! I/we will just have to be patient, pickledaddy...hopefully the situation will be the same for you in Knoxville.
Let us know if you liked it, Halx. c_b |
I saw this over the weekend with my Mom. It was good. The guy who played the funny announcer in Best in Show (I am terrible with names) is an absolute riot in this one. I have never seen waiting for guffman, but I did like Best in Show a little better than this one.

That guy's name was Fred Ward, at least, I think it was.
I didn't discover Best in Show til it hit cable. Christopher Guest is a mockumentry genius. It's one of those movies you either laugh real hard to, or you just don't get it. I can't wait until a Mighty Wind shows up somewhere around here. |
I'm going to try to see it this week. I've loved those guys ever since Spinal Tap.
Sorry about you guys in smaller towns, that is one drawback you suffer :( |
Actually, his name is Fred Willard and he's usually the best thing in ANY project.
