Pratchett has Alzheimer's disease
Terry Pratchett is suffering from a rare form of early Alzheimer's disease, he is only 59. He is one of my favorite authors, and writes funny, sharp, interesting fantasy novels. He is one of the most imaginative people I have read, and I wish there were more people like him that could be me laugh out loud. For those who have never read any of his books, I would suggest you pick up the Guards books as those are wonderful. Are they many other fans here ?

I hope it stays onset and he writes many MANY more books before anything really serious happens to him.

Well that sucks.

Dayum.
Diagnosed means that there is damage enough to be noticable, and enough to be worried about. First Robert Jordan checks out, and now Pratchett is seriously compromised. Dayum. |
that sucks. good omens, by him and gaiman, is one of my favorites.

I've reread Small Gods so many times that I've had to replace it twice. I hope everything turns out for the best for him.
