nude scene
Hey everyone, let's talk about movies you've seen that have the best nude scene. The only movie I've seen that actually has a lot of nudity in it is probably The Bounty Huntress, but it was not a very good movie. Anyone out there know of a really good one. Something fairly recent.

I know most people will probably go for American Pie first, so I'll skip on to real nude scenes, or scenes with substance.
300 - The scene between Leonidas and his queen actually managed to communicate more than I would have expected. The subtext was really only overt when Leonidas was leaving to defend the pass and the narrator couldn't shut his mouth. The subtext during that nude scene spoke volumes, and it really gave the scene meaning. Love Actually - Yes this movie is very, very sappy, but I liked the budding romance between the adult film stand-ins. There was something interesting about something so sexual being just another day at the office, and it being so every day that a bit of what was actually innocent conversation and flirting was not effected by the fact that the man was holding her naked breasts and thrusting behind her. It was not only hilarious, but there was a genuine innocence to it, which is unexpected. American Psycho - A window into madness. In American Psycho, one is treated to the macabre life of a sociopathic killer, and one of the most fascinating moments is when Patrick Bateman brings two prostitutes back to his apartment. One of the prostitutes is already aware that Patrick is nuts (though she doesn't understand to what extent) and the other is blissfully ignorant. When they get down to doing what they do, and he's ranting about 80s pop music, there's this insanity that is bombarding you from the screen. Other than the business card, I think that scene best communicates the depths of his madness. Mind you, none of these were actually sexually stimulating, they were just interesting. |

American Pie was meh. Funny movie, but the nude scene..
I'll take Wild Things. Denise Richards boobies are nice. Also, in Requiem for a Dream, Jennifer Connelly is amazing, it's so sad and disturbing that a nude moment thrown in just adds to the perceived hopelessness and despair.

I don't think I've seen more magnificent breasts than Shannon Elizabeth's in American Pie. I'm sure there have been more meaningful nude scenes, but I don't really care. I stare at the goods.

God, we got to post #4 and no one mentioned "Basic Instincts"? Gotta be a record.
I could watch the nude scenes from "Embrace of the Vampire" all day long, although the rest of the movie sucks ass. "Killing Me Softly" is pretty good if you like Heather Graham. And after seeing "Boogie Nights", who doesn't? I guess we need to qualify the terms here, though. What qualifies as a "good" nude scene? Just the sheer hotness of the body/ies on display or eroticism? Obviously willravel made some very good points about "interesting" scenes, and I can't really disagree with what he says unless we're talking good = erotic. Then not so much, although I'm sure that's expected, will.

I have to agree that for a guy of a certain age, Phoebe Cates' scene in Fast Time, was a formative event.
You have to remember that this was pre-Internet and porn was not readily available. To a young teenager, this was manna from heaven. To a young teenager, this was manna from heaven. It was also noteworthy that it was one of the first to be freeze framed on the VCR (a new invention).

I'll go with a Troy scene. Where the gal was creeping up on Brad Pitt in his sleep with a knife, then changed her mind as he was waking up. He then rolled her over and started "doing it" while holding her own knife at her throat (with her hand still on it even).
Nice. |

Saw it. Interesting concept. I can't specifically remember a nude scene, but was really disturbed by the what the Japanese girl did AFTER she escaped, and subsequently saw her reflection in a window at the train station. Quote:

The Dreamers: the three main characters in the second half of the film are naked and you see everything. Any fans of Eva Green? If so, check this film out.
Cashback: the main character is an artist who paints women, naked. They are frozen during the movie, but it is good, especially the part where the artist talks about the first time he saw a naked swedish teen when he was 7, she was walking up the stairs in slow motion. |

Excalibur- the scene when Uther; under the spell of disguise, acts like Egraine's husband and has sex with her without bothering to take his armor off.

For erotic nude/sex scenes:
The Lover ... just keep telling yourself that Jane March is REALLY 20-years-old in this movie and you'll be fine. and Henry and June For sheer nudity for the sake of nudity ... I can't come up with one. |

I personally dig Mena Suvari's ceiling scenes in American Beauty although she isn't nude but still great scenes. Her nude scene near the end isn't bad either. Just my two cents.
