I cant wait. I hope its not a joke like Jason X was. Jason X was great for its comedy. I hope this is more serious, and by the looks of the previews it will be.

This isn't really a spoiler, I think.
The actual answer, from reading a plot summary, is that Freddy tricks Jason into killing the Elm Street kids because the dream inhibitors the kids are taking prevent Mr. Krueger from doing it. Then Jason finds out he's been tricked, and thus, the battle royale. I'm not a particular fan of these movies, though I'll watch them when they're on TV and snicker, but I am SO pumped for this one. Why? Search me... "WHY WON'T YOU DIE?!"

Is Jason even competition for Freddy? It seems like there would be no match. Can't Freddy transport you instantly anywhere in space, time, or the imagination? How is Jason gonna compete with that? Freddy can do all kinds of shit. He can change his own size and shape or your size and shape and he can mess with your mind. Now what can Jason do to compete with that? Is he gonna pick up something thats lying around and kill Freddy? That may work against normal people but against Freddy, i think not.

I just can't wait for the cornfield rave scene I've heard so much about. I think I might have to drag some friends to see this one...maybe one of my jumpy lady friends so I can get her a little closer...hehe.
Aliens Vs. Predator has been stuck in pre-production hell for so long, the fans are going to blast that one to shreds...I'll be there, though.

Also i'd like to add that it would have been pretty cool if Micheal could have gotten involved in this whole mess.

i just found out that kane hodder, who normally plays Jason, isn't in this one. i read an interview with kane and he was told by new line that "they wanted to go in a different direction" and never explained why they didn't want to use him.
i plan on seeing it today, i'll post a review later today if i do |

Just got back from seeing it. In my opinion it played out the majority of the other Freddy or Jason flicks. I went into it expecting crap, but i was impressed...mostly with the way that they were brought together. It wasnt some stupid gimick....well it was a little stupid...but overall not that bad. If you like any of the other slasher horror movies than this is a pretty damn good one.

I was a little disappointed that Hodder wasn't back under the mask myself, but I know that the new guy is a few inches taller, too. So, I guess they wanted Jason to be a little more intimidating when he goes up against Freddy...
You know, I realized how much of a movie geek I was, when after watching Daredevil's credits, I noticed Kane Hodder among the stuntpersons. I pointed it out to my g/f at the time, and she just shook her head... Heh.

Well, I think I'm gonna pop into the theater tomorrow and have look at this one. Glad to know it itsn't total crap. Question, now does this movie have any scary parts? Lately I haven't seen one horror flick that had 1 remote chance of making me jump or shock me in my seat. Supense films on the other had are great. Signs actually got me to jump a few times the first time through, heh.

I saw a 1:30 matinee show yesterday. The movie was pretty cheesey and gory. Decent amount of b00bies but there could of been more. I really wanted to see the main chick Lori's tits. Anyway overall it was a fun movie and laughable one at that. The ending made me cringe though and kind of ruined the movie for me. WTF were they thinking?

I saw it last night, and I was expecting a good old fashioned gore fest. I wasn't let down too much. Plenty o' boobies, I too wanted to see the main chicks. They did show like 50 million clevage shots of her though. I thought the ending was awesome. Cuz it left it open for 2 directions the next movie could go. Overall, $6.50 well spent.

Saw it on saturday. I thought it was just ok until the fighting started. Then it got awesome. Freddy had some funny moments. Didn't the stoner look a little too much like Jay (jay and silent bob)? Anyone catch what might have been a knock against Bush in the police station?

I saw it on Friday.
Fucking awesome movie. New innovative ways to kill people + boobies +catepillar with a bong = r0x0r. I think I caught the Bush bash, but I don't remember that scene too much. And did anyone else see the Harry Potter cameo during the rave? Or maybe I just thought I saw him. EDIT: took out the mini-spoiler.

I thought it was awesome. I was never a big fan of either of the horror series, but I was impressed. The fight scenes were awesome and even though I didn't watch many of the movies I was always a fan of Freddy's psychological stuff. I would recomend it to people even if they weren't fans of the past movies.

Saw this over the weekend at a drive-in of all places. Nothing like watching a horror film with a second half takes place near the woods outside, with the woods as a backdrop. This had a hell of an affect on the wife, who became quite jumpy!
As for the movie itself, I was quite entertained. Went into it not expecting a damn thing and came out with a big grin on my face. Didn't catch the Bush reference, but was taken back by the obvious reference to Jay in the stoner. I was waiting for him to look for his silent hetero-life mate! |

Just got back from seeing it...This movie kicked ass. My only complaint is how the kids figured out Freddy's plans on their own so fast.
Overall, awesome movie, despite a couple of plot and story problems. Worth it for fans of either Jason or Freddy or both. 8.5 out of 10. |

Just saw it, and all I can say is wow. that was my first exposure to a real slasher movie and what a way to start. Obviously the fight scenes were the best part of the movie, but I really enjoyed the dark humor that oozed from everywhere. 13yr old jason in a minature mask....W00t!!
