Now I have to say this is by far my favorite TV series on at the moment. The sad thing is though, I believe it's very under rated.

One of the best Sci-Fi moments I have seen in creativity was when Galactica "jumped" into the planet's orbit and lauched a Vipers then "jumped" out. I've watched that scene so many time and it still makes me happy. ;-)

Why are there so many people that don't like this show? Please discuss.......

I dunno, I think BSG is pretty highly rated personally. It has won an Emmy, a Hugo, and a Peabody, among other things. Most people I know who have watched any of it really enjoy it.

I think the bigger issue is that a lot of people haven't been exposed to it because it's not on network television. It's not even on one of the good cable networks. Also, it'd be difficult for someone to start watching in the middle of the series.

I think a lot of people don't even give it a chance because there is some sort of stigma about Sci-Fi in general. This has been an issue as I try to get friends intersted in BSG. It seems like the only Sci Fi that is socially acceptable is Star Wars...
