Two movies - Night Watch and Day Watch - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

These two movies are part of a trilogy, the third one did not appear yet. The first one is Night Watch made in 2004, Day Watch is the second one made in 2006 - this is the one I saw first
They are made by russians and they are about a fight between good and evil, myths placed in today's world
The atmosphere created is incredible, I can say these movies are the best that I have seen in many years, they really know how to tell a story. I recommend them to whoever finds them

Don't mind that the ratings on the imdb site are not very high , I almost skipped them because of those ratings, I see now that they are not always true

I saw Night Watch; it was okay. The movie is sort of disjointed, but I'm interested in seeing the next one.

I wasn't very impressed with the first one, as it almost seemed like cheesy college indie movie except for the great FX. From what I understand though, the second one sounds much more fleshed out plot-wise, and with much more action. Im looking forward to seeing the second and third, as I like the mythos behind them.

I would see myself as one of the Nochnoy dozor.

I thought it was just an awesome conceit... the eternal battle between good and evil played out in the semi-light of the Russian underworld: backstreet abortionists, corrupt cops, loners and the lonely, eurobeat pop stars and mafiya as demons and angels....

Only seen the first one so far, although it took me a while to catch what was going on I still really liked the concept. Is the second out on DVD yet? Saw an ad for it in the theaters but nothing much else of it.

Seen both the first and second movies, highly recommended. The second tied in really well with the first movie.

I saw the first one but had no idea about the second one. Glad I stumbled upon this, I shall have to see if I can rent Day Watch.
