Knocked Up
I loved 40 Year Old Virgin, and I loved Knocked Up. I don't want to give too much away, but it's brilliant story telling. A movie made recently that actually has heart. I'm going to go see it again.

My local newspaper gave it 4 (out of 4) stars. And they're usually quite stingy with the stars. And they usually only give 4 stars out to dramas. So for a comedy to receive this rating means that the reviewer either thinks this movie is the greatest thing since sliced bread, or he/she is now no longer in need of his/her day job.

I've heard this is amazing. We may go see it. 40 Year Old Virgin was pleasantly surprising/funny.

I saw a sneak preview of this movie a few weeks ago and I just have to say it's such a gem. I loved it! It's funny, it has such heart, and it's real. I highly recommend it. :)

Saw this last night and think it is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. It is great to see a movie with so much filth and depravity get such high critical acclaim.

I liked the fact that it managed to successfully combine filth and depravity with heart. I'm guessing half the people that left the theater wanted to get pregnant, btw.

With all the hype that this was getting from the critics, I was disappointed. I thought I would be laughing my ass off throughout the whole movie but did not. Maybe I went in expecting too much, or was not high enough I don't know, but it was only OK for me.

Well it could be that you have different tastes, or you could have set the bar high. I never set the bar all that high anymore after being disappointed by Forever Young with Mel Gibson after loving Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome so much. It just didn't measure up.

Damn bar, I'll have to figure out a way to lower it. But I think 40 yr old virgin > knocked up.

I really loved it as well. It seemed <i>less</i> fairy tale compared to most movies, and I didnt want to get pregnant after, I just really wanted to find a good guy afterwards.

I liked it, but I think I was expecting a different kind of funny. Aside from a few scenes, there were no hysterical "moments", but rather, a ton of subtle humor throughout the entire thing.

I laughed my ass off the whole way through the movie. One of the best I've seen.

I found 40 Year Old Virgin so excruciatingly dull, I stopped watching halfway through. Fortunately, I hadn't paid anything to see it (yay usenet), so I was only out 45 mins of my time.
