I remember seeing this movie in the theaters as a child, and I have the benefit of spending quite a bit of my 'growing years' in the south. I can see how there would be negative racial connotations with the movie, but I also remember those warm fuzzy feelings associated with early disney movies. I'd love to see it again, but I don't think I can justify $200 bucks for any movie.
Gotta run, there's a bluebird on my shoulder...

I love this movie... I think it's sad that the kids who are riding Splash Mountain have no real idea where Brer Bear, Brer Fox, and Brer Rabbit truly originate from.
This was a great Disney classic. Fuck the damned politically correct shit. That's damned annoying...you try to repress it you just make it more and more enticing. Just leave it be.
