Apparently, judging by the replies posted here on the Tilted Forum as well as on other message boards and in any number of "instant reviews" in todays newspapers, the series finale either "was a major dissapointment," "sucked flaccid cock," sucked," "was utterly unrewarding," "was a complete and utter betrayal to the legion of loyal followers and watchers of the series," "cheated the fans," and of course, "wasn't what we, (the fans) wanted."

Now then, a couple of those comments can be seen as legitimate gripes if one is talking about the story or flow of the plot during the last episode.

But saying that it was a betrayal or that it cheated the fans and it wasn't what we wanted are moronic statements.

A gifted artist, as I believe David Chase to be, shouldn't give a fuck about whether or not he is being true to the fans or whether or not he is cheating them. The only thing he has to be true to is the story itself and the characters in the story.

Any and everything else can go fuck off.

As for it being the greatest dramatic series in tv history, not even close. it's not even the best dram on HBO. The best dramatic series on Tv history is The Wire.

I don't understand why people thought the entire point of a show that ran for 9 years was gonna be final show.

The point of the show... was THE ENTIRE FUCKIN' SHOW.

And if you argue with me I'm gonna shoot you then run your head over with an SUV while your grandkids sit in the back seat crying... you fuck.

after the initial..."WHAT THE FUCK HBO?!...wait...maybe something will come after the credits...nevermind" I couldn't help but find myself laughing. All that tension built up from that last scene, the accumulation of red herrings, came out in laughter. but I'm not bitter, if you don't like this ending, so back to season 4, that was supposed to be the official ending of the sopranos for all time. Season's 5 and 6 were just icing. yeah, season six part one was a boring and uneventful as crap (thats what happens when you center a storyline about someone that no one gives a crap about (vito)) but if you stopped watching, and didn't catch these 9 episodes, you missed out on some classic tv.
As for the movie. I'm pretty sure its a 90 percent improbibility. David Chase isn't a money grubbing asshole, so it's not whether or not its lucritive. He's stated in the past that these 9 episodes WERE the movie they talked about so long ago. That and James Gandolfini, in the interview with TV Guide, that came out before 6.1 came out, said that he was tired of playing tony, it was too draining and he was too old, he'll be glad to see him go. so this isn't an open ended ending. Blackened is the end.

I personally liked the ending just because it left people wondering what happened. I believe that Tony ended up getting shot by one of the guys it showed in the cafe. I think this just because when Bobby was killed and Tony had a flash back in the second to last episode Bobby said something about " I bet you dont even see it happen" when they were on the boat. Chase is amazing and I feel like he wrote the episode the way he did for a purpose. I wasn't disappointed at all with the ending.

The last scene gave me absolute chills! I did exactly what World's King did at first. I was clueless, then when I actually sat down and figured out what had actually happened I became absolutely thrilled. In my opinion, best ending to a television show that i've ever seen. Chase did a fabulous job on the ending.
