30 Rock
Is anyone watching 30 Rock? I've been getting into it recently, and have gone back to watch most of the episodes on NBC's web site. It's a really funny show.
First off, let's get this out of the way: Tina Fey is a hottie. Secondly, she's a good comedienne. She's got good writing talent, good timing, and good chemistry with pretty much the entire cast of the show. Especially with Alec Baldwin, who is perfect in his role. One of the more recent episodes dealt with Alec Baldwin's character having an intimate relationship with Condoleeza Rice (or, as he was limited to saying, a "high ranking African American woman in the Bush administration"). The mere mention that he had gotten her some revealing undergarments as a present had me laughing out loud. I recommend this show very much... no laugh track, which immediately puts it head and shoulders above a lot of TV comedy, and good talent throughout it.

I'm bumping this thread because I'm a big fan of this show and a bit disappointed that it hasn't gotten much lovin (it seems) on this forum. I believe tonight is the last new episode until the strike is over (sad).
Wonderful, wonderful tv show. At least one or two lines each show make me laugh so hard that I miss the next 20 seconds of material. The writing is brilliant, and the characters are hilarious. Watch it tonight! |

Yesterday's episode was again its usual brilliance. The musical number at the end was pretty funny, and I'll definitely miss this show until the strike is over. I may just swear off TV forever if the strike kills it.
I really love the small things sometimes. The subtitles during Liz's business meeting with the Germans was great. "I don't drink hot beverages. They're at the devil's temperature." |

And I'm not so sure 30 Rock is "underrated" any more, per se. It won Best Comedy after all, and was the top pick of 2007 for both of Entertainment Weekly's TV critics. "Underwatched" might be more accurate. |

I adore 30 Rock as well, Season 1 is sitting on my shelf right now. I miss Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip though 30 Rock is definitely the best show not just based on SNL among the overall 2006-7 premieres.

I think it was SNL that initially introduced me to Alec Baldwin's comedic talents. Since then, any time he makes a guest appearance on a comedy he never fails to steal the limelight (Will and Grace was a good example of that). So when I saw him starring on 30 Rock I knew it would be absolutely hilarious.
The man is a genius.
