I never really watched the show but I did like the theme song.
It was shot here in Toronto, and a regular customer of my Barber's had a bit part in on the show at some point. Theres a photo on the wall of him arm in arm with the main alien guy smiling for the camera.

I watched it when it first came out but only for the first season. It was kind of cool to see all the Toronto locations being used (many of them near my office and near my home).
That was during the heyday of Toronto-based television production.

I remember enjoying this show when it first came out. It was on at some ungodly hour though. I only go to see it when I was suffering from insomnia. I enjoyed the premise.
I just refreshed my memory of what the show was about on the Wikipedia page. It went on for a lot longer than I would have guessed. And it looks like it went through a handful of facelifts through its lifetime.

ok after reading the wiki section.. can usa residents buy the seriese on a dvd colleciton.. or am i gonna have to buy it from over seas?
I really enjoyed this series back in the day. It was a welcome change from star trek and such shows airing at the time. Dont get me wrong, I liked ST and its components and shows like xfiles but this one was unique in a way.. although it has ties to alien nation in a way but still.

I initially watched a bit of this show when it aired and enjoyed what I saw. Ultimately, though, they changed the cast and the direction of the show too many times for me to keep interest. A decent show, but it could have been much better than it was.
