OMG... I JUST CRAPPED MY PANTS... the fact that I got chills when I heard the "theme" music alone... holy crap. Shanifaye... you've got to keep all of us... or atleast me current with the countdown.
|
If you have read the book, then you know what is going to happen. But, this teaser trailer is awesome!
|
They could always cut out half of what happens in the book like they did with the 4th movie.
|
As long as that book was they will prob cut out 3/4's of what really happens. Im glad to see Sirius is actually IN this one
|
Wow...
Can't wait. And Snape...yum. |
I watched it 3 times last night and how much ya wanna bet im gonna watch it again and again and........... Snape *drool* be still my heart....PROVE IT! Such a horrid horrid man.... oh yum..... someone smack me now...
|
Alan Rickman is one of the sexiest men alive *sigh*
|
Yes he is... he had me from Robin Hood and Die Hard... Snape is the icing on the cake. The man deserves a lifetime award!
|
I saw the first movie, and maybe the second (because John Williams is the greatest thematic movie composer ever born). I found the movies to be moderately entertaining, though I had a distinct impression that everyone else in the movie theater was absolutely in heaven (which does tend to make a movie experience better). I've not read the books. I'm not sure this movie is something I'd enjoy. I'm very, very glad for the devoted fans, as it appears to have the ability to amaze and delight all those fans out there. Will we be enjoyign a full score by John Williams, or is he just being credited with the main theme, and the rest is being done by Nicholas Hooper?
And Alan rickman is the man. |
Williams is listed on IMDB for the main title
I could watch Alan in Sense and Sensibility 24 hours a day |
I've hated Snape ever since I read HBP, but the actor is spot on for him though. Siruis is one of my favourite characters and I'm glad they portray him in a better light this time. POA and GOF definately sucked IMO.
|
Darker they get every time... I shall delight in hating Delores Umbridge. I will remember to pack some tissues when I see the movie however... I recall the book and how it ends. Definately take a box of tissues when they release 6.

Why the hell is the video so tiny?

Maggie Smith isnt getting any younger! She will be 72 on December 28th
Nor is Sir Michael Gambon who turned 66 in October Alan Rickman isnt either, he will be 61 in February If she waits much longer they will have to recast 2 of the most popular roles. (Not 3 those of you who have read book 6 know why) I have a feeling that she will release Book 7 shortly before or after the 5th movie. To be done with it, maximize her bang for the buck and finally be able to move on. The date 7/7/7 seems very popular for speculation. 7th book, 7th month (Harry was born in july) and she has a habit of releasing books on a Saturday, the 7th happens to be one. Just a thought. |
I seriously doubt she'd release the last book and the 5th movie in the same week, but I could be wrong
|
Im about ready to go pry it from her cold hands. I have gone from pleasant anticipation to ya best be hurrying up over there.
|
Ive sen all the movies so far and rather liked them but I have not red any of the books.
I do like reading however but for whatever reason I've not read this series. My question is should I? more specifically, should I read this book before I see the movie? would it matter that I have not read the previous books? |

I don't know when the final book is being released, but you can be darned sure it will be in time for Christmas '07.
|
It had better be long before that!!!!
The books are best read in order. I was less than 3 chapters into the first book (after seeing movies 1-4) and I was in complete adoration. It captures you with the details that werent in the movies. Given the fact that the books are very near 1000 pages (books 4,5,6) that the film makers have done a fabulous job cramming in what they can. |
And make sure you have all the books on hand if you are going to read them, because you'll want to read the rest after you finish the first. Trust me.
|
I can still remember Dave playfully making fun of me because I'd made fun of him for reading "kids" books and I finally gave in and started the first one (a week before movie 3 came out) and refused to put it down or do anything before I finished it and book 2 and 3...all before we saw movie 3 opening weekend lol
|
The books are utterly addictive. I remember physically fighting with my 17- and 12-year old sisters over who got to read The Half Blood Prince first.
My mother won that battle. |
OK, I think I will give one of them a try when I am finished with the book I am reading now.
Just curious though, My favourite series is The Wheel Of time by Robert Jordan. Every time a new book comes out I re read the whole series before I read the new book. I usually start several months in advance once I know the release date. For anyone that has read this series, how do they compare as fas as capturing your attention? I know when they come out I can read the entire RJ book in just a couple days forsaking sleep and well being in a need to consume the book as quickly as possible. I cant handle having that knowledge right there just lying around instead of being in my head where it needs to be. Does the Hairy Potter make you feel this way? |
I think my last post pretty sell sums up how well they capture my attention lol
Im on a romance kick right now, but I've already planned to reread them all before book 7 is released. Its been harder to read the latter books in "one sitting" because they got so much longer. HBP was done in one sitting though, its been my fav of all of them |
I read fairly fast but usually with work and all it takes me 2 days to finish a book. I was suprised with the sheer length of the books that I finished all 6 in 7 days.
|
I damn near peed myself when I saw the new trailer today!!!!!
Over 2 minutes of awe inspiring footage that makes me drool profusely and want to fast forward to opening night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Where did you see a trailer at?
