Doctor Who

I couldn't find the old thread, so here's a new one.

The second season of the BBC's rejuvenated Doctor Who is now airing in North America, and I'm curious how many of you are sticking with it.

I'm already a big fan, and as much as I liked Chris Ecclestone, in the first season, I'm really excited about what I've seen so far with David Tennant.

Anyone else?

snowy 10-16-2006 04:43 PM

Me too!

I wasn't sure if I'd like the new Doctor or not...but I'm really enjoying the new season. I'm looking forward to seeing more. As for Tennant, well, he's cute and that certainly helps (I'm such a girl).

Also, I noticed on IMDb the other day that they seem to be planning a spinoff for Sarah Jane. That should be interesting!

SecretMethod70 10-16-2006 04:45 PM

Having seen the second season already, I have this to say (no spoilers)...

I definitely like David Tennant better as The Doctor. However, the second season isn't quite as consistent as the first. That shouldn't stop you from watching by any means, just a heads-up. That, and episode 10 didn't actually happen.

No, seriously, don't watch it.

I'm serious!

All that said, there are also some GREAT episodes in season 2. The finale, which I'm sure most of you know what happens in by now, is quite excellent. I'm looking forward to season 3 very much, but until then there's Torchwood, which starts October 22!

Willravel 10-16-2006 04:45 PM

I'm really enjoying it a great deal. While it's overshadowed by Battlestar Galactica, it's easily the second best program on the SciFi channel, and I watch it with great interest. I wasn't sure about Tennant at first, being such a fan of Eccleston and all, but I've been pleasantly surprised. He's proned to fantastic flights of overacting, and is able to capture the larger then life character quite well.

SecretMethod70 10-16-2006 04:48 PM

I'm sorry, I just have to say it. I know it's nitpicking, but I can't help it after seeing his name in giant letters at the beginning of every episode....

It's Eccleston :)

onodrim 10-16-2006 05:00 PM

Having seen all of series two, I have to be fully honest and admit that I did like series one better overall. I think that has a lot to do with, as Secret pointed out, a certain lack of consistency. The episodes seemed to fit better together overall, and it felt like a full circle arc from the beginning to the end. And I am probably one of the very few who preferred the slightly darker Doctor that Eccleston portrayed.

That being said...David Tennant is excellent! He is certainly more of a "traditional" Doctor, and he brings such great energy and originality to the role. The effects in series two are a bit of a step up from series one, I was especially impressed by "The Beast" towards the middle of the series.

While there were aspects of series two that disappointed *cough*episode 10*cough* (seriously, skip it ), I will definitely be tuning in for series three! And anxiously awaiting Captain Jack in Torchwood. :)

Fremen 10-16-2006 09:33 PM

I'm loving this season so far.
We had a f**king werewolf fer crisakes! :D

I just want to know one thing...will the big floating head guy (sorry, can't remember his name) be in any other episodes this season?

I'm pretty positive he only appears once in season 2, although it's been awhile since I watched it.

Daniel_ 10-17-2006 10:26 AM

The Face of Bo?

He's in the cat hospital episode.

guthmund 10-18-2006 10:29 AM

It's been said, but let's hear it again, eh?

Lack of consistency?
Absolutely.

Eccleston was darker?
Sure thing.

..but Tennant is good?
Tennant is excellent. Just another taste in an already overwhelming blend.

Avoid episode 10?
Complete chum. I wish I had seen this thread earlier... ;)

The "beast" two parter is good and the two parter season finale will break your heart a little. It's good stuff and if Torchwood is half the series we're in for some good times.

Daniel_ 10-18-2006 12:59 PM

Just re-watched the final episode on BBC.

Fantastic, every time I see it.

Made my wife cry (again).

:D

fresnelly 10-18-2006 05:41 PM

I'll consider myself warned about Ep. 10. At least my expectations are now sufficiently low enough that I might just be pleasantly surprised. Heck I didn't even mind Colin Baker (Doctor #6) so much, so I must have a high threshold for torture. :D

I can't wait for K-9 and Sarah Jane next week.

Porkchop 10-19-2006 08:44 AM

Was looking forward to this. Must be me cant be bothered with it anymore. Used to love the old versions when i was a kid.

Min 10-20-2006 09:47 PM

I am most definitely a fan of Eccelston over Tennent.
For all of my gripes that I shall spare everyone, I continue to watch the show and hope for better things.
I anticipate Torchwood and can only hope RTD hasn't fiddled with it too much.

Were you a fan of the original Doctor Who in any way?

Min 10-25-2006 06:20 PM

I'm a rabid fan of the original Doctor Who.
I did enjoy Torchwood. Nothing spectacular but decent enough.

That's interesting, because I find Tennant to be much more "Doctor-y" than Eccleston. Not that I didn't think Eccleston was great, I just think Tennant has that...something.

Mondak 10-26-2006 05:27 AM

Ok - I don't dig the show that much, but I was wondering if someone could explain why there is a different Doc? I missed that one.

fresnelly 10-26-2006 05:44 AM

/me stretches and cracks knuckles

Remember that Doctor Who has been running on and off since the 1960's. Actors age and move on, and David Tennant is the 10th actor to play the Doctor - not counting the 60's Movie doctor. In the mythology of the show, these transitions between actors are called "Regeneration". Basically, every time the Doctor is fatally injured, he takes regenerates a new body and personality, but retains his memories and feelings. Various Doctors have been shot, fallen off of Radio towers and so on. In Chris Eccelston's case, he absorbed the "Time Vortex" to save Rose, and this act did him in. He regenerated at the end of the 2005 Season.

Trivia note: The current canon is that the Doctor can only regenerate 12 times. However, there have been hints that this number is surmountable.

Willravel 10-26-2006 07:51 AM

If you can get your hands on Doctor Who and the Curse of Fatal Death, watch it. Rowan Atkinson is brilliant.

Nicely played. A pretty cool concept in all that I had no idea about. I can't say this will get me into the show, but it will help for sure. It's proximity to BSG is its main attraction. This info just might help me make it over the hump though.

Min 10-26-2006 08:50 PM

True, Eccleston was a much more sombre and stern Doctor but I accepted that as a modernization.
Yes, Tennent returns to the more carefree style, yet, certain elements within his protrayal are a grand affront to me and a severe dishonor to the memory of the previous Doctors....but that's just my opinion. Again, I'll keep watching it and Torchwood. I remain ever hopeful.

fresnelly 11-06-2006 07:00 PM

"The Girl in the Fireplace" just aired here, and I have to say that it's been my favourite episode so far. The set up with the derelict ship, and the time windows and 18th century France was great fun, and the writing did a superb job of balancing the action with the Doctor's emotional state.

School Reunion, touched on these romantic elements as well wth Sarah Jane, but clumsily crammed them around a dull threat.

This episode was much tighter and I'm beginning to see what was said about this season being "inconsistant."

Regarding Romance and the Doctor, I also see a lot of Russel T. Davies' earlier series Bob and Rose(there's that name again) in it.

As an aside, If you enjoyed this episode as much as I did, I have to recommend The Time Traveller's Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger. It's a time travel romance with a similar premise. Er... without any clockwork monsters.

Next week, Cybermen!

Torchwood is an anogram or Doctor Who. Any idea when we'll get Torchwood in across the pond? We gave you Battlestar, it's the least you can do BBC Wales!!!

SecretMethod70 11-08-2006 10:46 PM

lol, we didn't "give" them Battlestar Galactica - SkyONE is/was involved in the making of it.

As for Torchwood, I'm not sure if we'll be getting it. For one thing, it's a bit more niche, since it's a spinoff of a show that isn't even all that popular in the US in the first place. On top of that, it can be pretty gory and the language is beyond that which is even typically seen on standard cable ("fuck" is not something that is unheard on the programme). Finally, there is speculation that it may be a "one-off" - a show which only has one season. So, who knows.

Willravel 11-09-2006 08:52 AM

SkyONE payed through the nose to get it played in the UK and Ireland first, but I don't think they were involved in the creation or making of Battlestar. It was all SciFi (with NBC).

Maybe I'll just bit torrent Torchwood. I'd rather buy it, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Does Amazon.co.uk accept US dollars? If so, maybe I'll just buy the DVD (it's slated to come out in December, £14.89 + shipping, which is about $30US).

SecretMethod70 11-09-2006 09:53 AM

As I understand it, SkyONE was involved in funding the first season. Anyway, that's not important :)

Not sure about whether amazon.co.uk will take US dollars. I think the bigger question is, will they ship to the US? Money can always be converted.

ShaniFaye 09-01-2007 05:54 AM

yes Im dragging up and old thread lol

Dave is a huge Dr Who fan, as is his father. He never misses and episode. Im not much into sci fi so I would just buys myself on the computer while he watches (I paid attention enough to know I didnt really care for Christopher Eccleston. I remember there was one episode that involved Queen Victoria that I actually watched and enjoyed, leave it to ME to start being interested in the episode that takes place in Scotland hehehe) so I started paying a little more attention.

well something has happened, I dont know if its because Im a David Tennant fan, or I wanted to be able to contribute to dinner conversations when we visited his parents or what but when season 3 started, I shut down the pc and watched (all the ones so far)

well.......Im hooked

I went to Dave's parents for dinner last nite and ended up leaving with the DVD's of the very first the episodes and the dvd collection of the Tom Baker years and season one and season two of the current ones (and random episodes of the Jon Pertwee ones). NOW Im glad his dad has been watching for however long he has. Poor man spent dinner last nite explaining things I didnt understand.

I just finished watching the very first episode :)

Willravel 09-01-2007 07:44 AM

It's a VERY entertaining show. I always find myself laughing and feeling satisfied by it.

fresnelly 09-01-2007 08:43 AM

Great Shani! I hope you stay hooked because you've got around 30 years of episodes to get though. Granted, a lot of the 80's episodes are for completionists only, but I'm sure you'll find plenty to enjoy.

The first Doctor, played by William Hartnell, was a bit cumudgeonly for my taste but those first episodes are still a lot of fun. The loopy streak you see channeling through David Tennant came in with Doctor #2, Patrick Troughton, and was solidified by the time Tom Baker came around. Let us know which classic episodes you really get into!

As for the current Season 3, I'm digging it a lot, despite some uneven episodes. Blink just aired here and it has been my favourite by far. Cracking good writing!

Midnight 09-01-2007 11:24 AM

mmm . I dont really like the last season and this season.

I'm spoiled though... When I first encountered The Doctor, it was the incomparables - John Pertwee and into Tom Baker playing the roles.

I have jelly babies on my desk right now, and wore an excessively long multicolored stripey scarf for years because of Tom Baker. *grin*

The "Saxon" story arc in series three is brilliant, and the final three episodes that end the series are stunning.

Blink, by far, is the best episode of the season in my opinion. I mean, I like the old favorites, but that episode just blew me away when I watched it.

By the by, the guy who wrote that one also wrote one of my favorites from the previous season about Madame De Pompadour. He has also written a seperate project concerning Jekyll and Hyde that I'm smack dab in the middle of at the moment, but enjoying immensely.

Yes, I need to find these on bittorrent or someplace. I loved the old Dr. Who when I was in high school during the 1980's,

After months of media speculation, BBC One can confirm that the Bafta-award winning Doctor Who will return for a fifth series in spring 2010.

Viewers are in for a treat this Christmas, as a special episode starring David Tennant and Kylie Minogue will be broadcast on BBC One in December 2007.

Series four, which went into production in July 2007, will hit UK screens in spring 2008 with a special episode for Christmas 2008.

In 2009, Doctor Who will return with three specials starring David Tennant, with Head Writer, Russell T Davies.

The full length fifth series will transmit in 2010.

Jane Tranter, Controller, BBC Fiction, says: "Doctor Who is one of the BBC's best loved and most successful dramas. Its journey over the past three series has been one of the most ambitious and exciting that we have had, and I'm delighted to be able to confirm not only three exciting specials for 2009, but a fifth series in 2010."

Menna Richards, Controller, BBC Wales, says: "The success of Doctor Who is a fantastic tribute to the dedication and expertise of the production team at BBC Wales who have worked on the project from the outset. This announcement is marvellous news for all involved and, more importantly, for the programme's amazing fan base and audience. BBC Wales is looking forward to producing the fifth series."

Following the critically acclaimed season three finale, the BBC has announced that Catherine Tate is set to return to the Tardis for the complete 13-week run of series four of Doctor Who, reprising her role as Donna from the 2006 Christmas special.

Freema Agyeman, who won praise for her portrayal of Martha Jones in series three, is also set to return mid-series four.
I can't say the gap year is going to be too fun, but at least Tennant is hanging around for a bit longer.

I just watched Utopia and I'm freaking losing my mind. This show really has an excellent history and great writing. I started shaking towards the end.

Fremen 09-17-2007 12:15 AM

I just saw Blink, and just, wow!

That was some pretty scary shit to think about.

I wonder how long the concept of "someoine/thing can't move if being observed" has been around?

I know it's been in a few games (Luigi's Mansion, a couple of the Zelda ones, etc.) but has it been in literature, too?

Lucifer 09-17-2007 01:59 AM

I don't know about literature, but I agree about "Blink." That was hands down the best Doctor Who yet.

ShaniFaye 09-17-2007 03:01 AM

oh man oh man oh man...I watched Blink last nite (we've been so busy that I had to catch up on pt 2 of The Family of Blood, loved the ending on that one, and Blink last nite)

It was MOST awesome. I do not think I will ever be able to walk thru and old cemetery ever again without thinking about the statues.

Dave and I loved how the people that went back in time got to at least lead happy and productive lives and how Sally got to meet him to give him the transcript.

I just cant say enuff about how much I really loved this one

Datalife2 09-17-2007 12:03 PM

It's the name of the third most recent episode of Dr. Who. Season 3 (of the recent incarnation) episode 11. it's the first part of a three part season ender.

Episode 2 picks up considerably, but the ones that really got me came a bit later. The following are my favorites: Episodes 3, 5, 6, 7, 9 (amazing!), 10, 11, 12 (my favorite Spoiler: I'm not gay, but I found it truly romantic), and 13. It picks up strong.

fresnelly 09-18-2007 10:16 AM

Yeah, Torchwood can be wildly uneven but when the writers find the right balance, it's great. I'm betting that it will settle down a bit in the second season and prove more consistent.

Shani, I'm afraid I have some bad news about The Highlanders episodes. The BBC shortsightedly copied over several of the master tapes from the 60's episodes, including The Highlanders

Three short clips were recovered after being located in Australia in October 1996; this footage had previously been edited out of the broadcast by Australian censors.

Major pirate website shut down

One of the world's most-used pirate film websites has been closed after providing links to illegal versions of major Hollywood hits and TV shows.

The first closure of a major UK-based pirate site was also accompanied by raids and an arrest, the anti-piracy group Federation Against Copyright Theft (Fact) said today.

A 26-year-old man from Cheltenham was arrested on Thursday in connection with offences relating to the facilitation of copyright infringement on the internet, Fact said.

The arrest and the closure of the site - www.tv-links.co.uk - came during an operation by officers from Gloucestershire County Council trading standards in conjunction with investigators from Fact and Gloucestershire Police.

Fact claims that tv-links.co.uk was providing links to illegal film content that had been camcorder recorded from cinemas and then uploaded to the internet. The site also provided links to TV shows that were being illegally distributed.

Visitors to the site could get access to major feature films, sometimes within days of their initial cinema release. Recent links took users to illegal versions of the Disney/Pixar animation sensation Ratatouille as well as to most of this summer's blockbusters.

"Sites such as TV Links contribute to and profit from copyright infringement by identifying, posting, organising, and indexing links to infringing content found on the internet that users can then view on demand by visiting these illegal sites," said a spokesman for Fact.

The group's director general Kieron Sharp said TV Links was the first major target in a campaign to crackdown on web piracy.

"The theft and distribution of films harms the livelihoods of those working in the UK film industry and in ancillary industries, as well as damaging the economy," he said.

Roger Marles, from Trading Standards said sites such as TV Links allowed people to break UK copyright law.

"The 'users' are potentially evading licence fees, subscription fees to digital services or the cost of purchase or admittance to cinemas to view the films," he added.

The British Video Association estimates that at least £459m was lost to the video, film and TV industries due to piracy in 2006.

· This article was amended on Friday October 26 2007. A caption accompanying the picture originally attached to the above article said that the website TV links was closed for allowing users to download illegal material. In fact the site provided links to illegal material hosted by other websites, as the name suggests. The caption has been removed.

I did read on wiki though that evidently we are going to get season 2 at the same time the UK does, (unless wiki is wrong) It comes back January of 2008

I am finally getting a chance to watch Doctor Who.

I just finished watching series one and just moments ago saw the new Doctor appear. Just as I was really getting to like Eccelston.

He was a great Doctor. I am sad to see him go.

I can't believe I waited this long...

Hain 12-10-2007 06:20 AM

I did not like Eccleston in the beginning but I began to appreciate that hidden somberness in his character, the idea of him carrying the weight of what he has seen. Same thing happened when Tennant started... wasn't quite sure what to make of him. I watched most of the episodes first because I missed the Christmas Invasion. Once I saw the first Christmas Invasion and again saw that same somber attitude, he was OK to stay. :P

Tennant brings back those quirky behaviors that were best in Tom Baker and Sylvester McCoy. I hope he sticks around since there aren't that many regenerations left... :(

Oh and don't read this Spoiler: MY FAVORITE SCENE HAPPENS IN SEASON THREE!!! YOU SEE THE TARDIS FLYING OVER ROADS OF LONDON CHASING AFTER A CAR!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Yeah I geeked out over that one.

I still want to know what happened with Paul McGann as the Doctor! I really liked the character he brought as the Doctor in that one time movie on Fox.

Charlatan 12-10-2007 02:19 PM

Paul McGann would have been cool... Doctor Who as envisioned by a US studio? Not so much.

Hain 12-10-2007 02:23 PM

I could not possible imagine Dr Who created in America... Could you believe that they had McCoy Spoiler: die on operating table after being shot while walking out of the TARDIS... not cool!

ShaniFaye 01-12-2008 01:43 PM

While perusing pictures of David Tennant in a kilt I found this and found it quite amusing lol

Hain 01-13-2008 01:55 AM

Ahahahahaha! That is fantastic.

Did anyone catch the new Voyage of the Damned.... oooooh. They are creating new situations... but with the same elements in it. If you are a fan of the oldies, and watch this, you'll know what I am talking about.

ShaniFaye 01-13-2008 04:25 AM

Im still tryig to figure out when we are going to get the new season......Torchwood season 2 starts on the 26th of this month but I cant find anything at all on Dr Who

SecretMethod70 01-13-2008 08:49 AM

BBC doesn't typically advertise that information too far in advance. It'll be sometime in the spring. And after that season there will be a 2 year break.

ShaniFaye 01-13-2008 11:34 AM

You mean spring in the UK or spring here? I cant quite work out if the UK has seen season 4 BBCA and Sci Fi DO advertise a boatload of time in advance so Im thinking that the UK hasnt even seen it yet...and with Doctor Who, dont we see it a year behind them?

Last time I looked you guys have Spring at the same time as the UK :)

Just be glad you don't live in Australia - TV backwater of the developed world.

Willravel 01-13-2008 01:42 PM

Hehehe...

SecretMethod70 01-13-2008 09:16 PM

Ohhhh, Shani's talking about the different schedules for Doctor Who - BBC vs Sci-Fi. I was talking about the BBC schedule, I have no idea when season 4 will air on Sci-Fi (has season 3 even aired on Sci-Fi?).

Seriously, it's worth the extra effort to download the BBC episodes...they don't have parts cut out for commercials, and they air earlier.

Willravel 01-13-2008 09:18 PM

I didn't really like the Christmas special... I dunno...

I thought it was entertaining enough...which is my typical reaction to episodes written by Russel T. Davies. I can say one thing for sure, I'm rather sick of The Doctor always having a female companion and there always being some sort of interest in a relationship, whether it's one-sided or not. Once was fine, but this is getting silly. I'm pretty confident that it's mostly RTD's doing, and I think I'll enjoy the turn the show takes once he leaves.

ShaniFaye 01-14-2008 03:47 AM

Actually Im talking about the schedule on BBC in the UK vs the schedule on BBCA here in the states,

Sci Fi runs the new seasons first there, then BBCA picks them up not the other way round

So...what I want to know is....When will Sci Fi start running season 4?

fresnelly 01-14-2008 05:53 AM

I'm just ticked that the CBC didn't show this year's Christmas special at Christmas. They'll probably wait until Summer when Season 4 (I think) will air here. This would be both after Hockey and the BBC run are finished.

Shani, I suspect you'll have to wait at least until summer as well.

ShaniFaye 01-14-2008 06:00 AM

oh well....at least its less than two weeks til the premier of Season Two of Torchwood!!!

One of my fav people is going to be on it this season:

James Marsters who plays Captain John, another Time Agent. He is set to have a "horny and violent" sexual encounter with Captain Jack.

Hain 01-14-2008 06:10 AM

I liked the latest VOTD, minus Kylie Minogue going for the Doctor. Although, what woman could resist the charms of the coolest nine hundred year old bachelor? Eh? Eh!? I think the relationship issue stuff shouldn't be dealt with [as they have been] till the 13th life of the Doctor... so in not too long.

Please that was hardly a spoiler. I told you who the main chickie of the special was. If I wanted to spoil it for you I would have said Spoiler: that I am getting really disappointed at the new episodes since they are recaps of older ones. Like VOTD, practical rip off of T. Baker's episode Robots of Death. Then there was a whole subplot in the special that reminded me of that craptacular Leprechaun 4: In Space movie, cyborg in the box, then tie that to the Dr. Who ep where the old guy turned young and into a scorpion... fucked up and I am tired of seeing the lines being drawn.
What do you think about that? Huh? Huh!?

Oooooh.

I love Torchwood!

Daniel_ 01-14-2008 12:03 PM

Not sure about the schedules over here Shanni, but once I know, I'll pass it on, babe. ;)

Hain 01-14-2008 12:41 PM

You know what still makes me sad to this day, they couldn't have gotten this started in the US:

I thought McGann brought something really unique to the Who-verse. He was everything about the 4th Doctor I liked, but had a twist on things. Sort of a childlike fascination of the universe and time and life. DAMNIT JIM IT WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT!

SecretMethod70 01-19-2008 04:33 AM

Well, Torchwood has started up again and it's...well, everything I'm used to from Torchwood :p Entertaining enough, but it still feels like it was written by an adolescent, which is a shame. One day, RTD & Co. (but especially RTD) will learn that you don't make something more "adult" by throwing sexual references all over the place.

Still, like I said, entertaining enough. If you liked the first season of Torchwood, it looks to be more of the same this season. Personally, I was hoping they'd improve on the quality a bit...have more episodes like season 1's "Small Worlds"...but c'est la vie.

ShaniFaye 01-19-2008 06:48 AM

how did you see it already? it doesnt start until next saturday?

fresnelly 01-19-2008 06:57 AM

FYI, Voyage of the Damned is currentlly on YouTube in seven parts. I'm surprised it hasn't been pulled but there it is. Poor CBC.

Anyways, I thouroughly enjoyed it, even as Augi said, it contained a similar threat to Robots of Death. Consider it an homage rather than a rip off. A lot of the Tom Baker era plots revolved around machina going mad anyway.

I thought the distorted Earth history and London's annual christmas plight were pretty funny.

I started a few days ago ;)

ShaniFaye 01-22-2008 04:52 PM

I want to give a very very very big thank you to the one tfp person that took the time to teach me about something I had no clue about...thanks to them I got to see Voyage of the Damned....and WOW what an episode...I enjoyed it almost as much as Blink lol. I even managed to figure out on my own how a simple little cable would let me watch it on my tv hehehe

so... :icare: to you.....you know who you are

Now if I can just learn how to burn the damn thing to DVD so it plays in my player (I did burn one that plays on the PC but my dvd player says it cant play the kind of disc I made) I can surprise Dave's dad with it!!!

ShaniFaye 04-05-2008 03:47 PM

I realize the new season of Doctor Who starts in the UK tonite but wooohooo we arent gonna be far behind!! Sci Fi starts it here April 18th with the Christmas epi (which I've seen and its FANTASTIC)

Torchwood only has three episodes left :( thats sad. But Sarah Jane starts here next week :)

Daniel_ 04-06-2008 09:46 AM

Plenty of gay snogging in the Torchwood episodes left.

The new episode of DW is great. I especially liked the scene where Spoiler: Donna and the Doctor sign to each other through the windows.

Church 04-06-2008 04:16 PM

I get so giddy when I hear the Doctor Who theme music. Its actually quite embarrassing but I own a sonic screwdriver I picked up at a comic con lol

ShaniFaye 04-06-2008 04:31 PM

it was funny.....we watch the run thats going on on BBCA right now on Saturday night...Utopia was on yesterday and I swear the closer it came to the "reveal" of who the professor was, Dave was bouncing on the couch and I bet if I checked he'd have had a hard on lol (and its NOT like we havent seen this one)

he's so cute

ColonelSpecial 04-06-2008 09:45 PM

My friends decided I needed to watch DW so they showed me "Blink" and I was hooked. Another of my friends loves Torchwood and I like it but it doesn't hold a candle to DW. We now watch several episodes at a time on Friday nights. We are half way through series three. It is such a good sci-fi show.

Steve Moffat who wrote Blink also wrote the BBC original of Coupling (one of my all time favourite comedies). It was utterly wankered by the US re-make, but the original is great.

And Shani? Are you sure Dave was getting a hard-on over DW, rather than the company he was keeping? :orly:
