I'm always amazed at the cool nickames they give each other.
Infact, a buddy of mine was on the show a few seasons back, and they got a website of their show nickname.. weezerandgeezer.com

was happy to see it win yat another Emmy for Reality Series.

This thread needs more attention; I hope everybody hasn't stopped watching. I just got done re-watching season 9 as well and even though I enjoyed it more than I remembered, I hope we're not in for more alpha male domination of the race. I don't mind the general idea of eliminating someone in the middle of a leg, but I just wish it wasn't Bilal and Sa'eed because I don't know about anyone else, but I for one was looking forward to more money shots of them refusing to shake hands with women and getting down to pray to Allah in airports.

I figured maybe they wouldn't eliminate someone at the pit stop to make up for it, but then they went and eliminated my next favorite comedy team Vipul and Arti, who brought the great parody of those annoyingly ubiquitous College T-shirts. So that's too bad but I'm still looking forward to the next episode where apparently animals go wild.

I always enjoy the AR, as long as they NEVER repeat the family season.

I'm kinda shocked they got rid of 2 teams in the very 1st episode.

It was a good episode. I totally saw the quick elimination of Bilal and Sa'aed. Although I totally expected either the Tenessee hicks or the single moms to be eliminated next. Its a shame about Vipul and Arti, they could have been good for some laughs.

I love the venom against the girl with one leg and her boarding first. This is a race for 1 million dollars, use whatever advantage you can get! She's a trooper, I hope they can fix the leak in her leg.

I was wondering how many legs she brought though, cause at the start she had a leg with just a regular foot on the end, and then switched to the cool spring looking one, do they just switch out the foot part or is it whole legs?

I enjoyed the first episode a lot. Thanks to just the right balance between competition and personalities, this is by far my favourite reality show.

I was bummed that we lost Vipul & Arti and Bilal & Sa'eed so early. I liked V&A's positive outlook, and let's face it, where else on TV are we going to get to see devout Muslims in such a role.

Over the episode, I definitely warmed up to the Kentuckians. Sure they're a bit coarse, but I respect that the wife has taken time to learn some local phrases and they both seem genuine and outgoing. Usually the "hick" contestants are played for laughs.

Very good diversity in this year's teams. Too bad two of the cooler looking teams were ousted early. The single moms are already pissing me off. All they do is bitch and talk trash about everyone else. The Kentuckians are annoying...sorry if I have a bias against dumb sounding hicks. The wife is a total pain too.

I enjoyed the show from what I saw, it conflicted with my watching 'Hockey: A Peoples History', but I did manage to catch most of the race.

Should be an interesting season, can't wait to see if the hate for the girl with one leg continues, don't really blame her and her boyfriend at all, got to use all advantages when a million bucks is at stake.

Does anyone find it odd that the girl with one leg's boyfriend calls her names like "kid" and "sister"? Is he hiding something?

They are Kentucky hicks, not Tennessee, our hicks have a couple more teeth and fewer children on average...

When I first saw them my wife and I were both chanting "please don't be from Tennessee" it wasnt much relief they were from Kentucky, I had hope they were at least a couple of states away.

Is it just me or is the cast of this race not really all that exciting so far. There really isn't anyone I hate, love to hate, or love to watch among the teams. I find myself a) not really caring who goes home, and b) wins the whole thing.

I think this race has been really good, there is a lot of tension between the teams and its making for good tv.

My dream final 3 for this race is the models, the miss americas and the Cho brothers.

I cannot stand the 'bama moms' I find them very annoying and the hatred they have of everyone else is just ridiculous. Also, the way they act such as jumping the line in Helsinki is completely unacceptable, it is pushy, boorish, ignorant people such as they who give Americans a bad name overseas.

I hope next week the Cho's tell them to f-off and they get eliminated.

I am rooting for the beauty queens to win. They are extremely hot and kick ass together.

Maybe it's just me being negative, but I can't stand any of the teams. Luckily I'm enjoying the race itself; I especially liked Finland and the music detour last episode. I just hope they make an Amazing return to Holland.

-Lyn and Karlyn, I agree, taking the Finnish guy's taxi was just not cool, is it any wonder everyone hates American tourists?
-dustin and kandice, some people in this world just get all the luck. i think they are way too lucky. they always seem to make it on the right flights, get the right taxi drivers, and they are soo good lookin' on top of it. do they really need a million dollars from the race? surely they can find some rich guy to marry instead or become models. yeah, i'm jealous. and their names are annoying.
-tyler and james. they are walking southern california stereotypes. not one of their sentences goes by that doesn't end in a "bro" or a "dude". shouldn't they be out surfing or something? they too have more luck than they deserve and once again i'm jealous.
-rob and kimberly. they're just annoying because they're constantly arguing, and they seem kinda ignorant too, but they have the worst luck out of all the teams so I at least have some sympathy for that and thus I guess they're the team I want to win by default.

glad to see the Chos gone because they were just way too awful at the race to deserve to be in it, and i'm still irritated that they gave david and mary the fast forward because i found mary incredibly annoying and had to endure them getting a second and then a THIRD chance to stay in the race. they should give david a million bucks just for having to be married to her.

They have that every year unfortunately. I don't understand the point either.

I would love to know what they feel right now knowing that America hates them.

it is stupid. but i think i've beaten the "Derwood hates non-elimination leg" point to death.

But whatever, the blondes are still in. I want them to do well so they can get into the pages of a men's magazine already

Just a matter of time before Maxim or FHM get them in the mags, at least they lasted long enough for that to happen.

I hope so too, they were uber hot! So who to go for now? I guess the male models. I do not like the sistah's and I am privately hoping for a bad fall and a broken leg for them, and I'm not a big fan of Rob & Kimberly, they are just too whiny.

I watched the episode last night finally, damn Kimberly was crying after 2 minutes in the tomatoes, although I laughed my ass off every time she took one in the face. I thought Rob was going to start throwing tomatoes at her, he's was pissed and I don't blame him at all.

I guess you're right Daval, about all we have left to cheer for is the models, at least they add some comedy to the show, much more than the sistahs bring.

I'm also kinda cheering for the models by default now. Rob and Kimberly just annoy me and Bama was the only part of the 6 pack that I didnt like.
Kinda sad when I'm cheering for the team I "dont dislike". I really hope that the teams for the next race are better.

Also so much for the chance of an all female team picking up the win because I seriously doubt that Bama has any chance to take it.

That was the first episode and SEASON of the Amazing Race I've turned off before it was over. yet another alpha male team wins the race, and a team of models at that, MODELS! races that come down to who can run fastest or get a taxi fastest are getting old. at least there was some originality last season. as soon as you hear go "on foot" from midtown new york to the east village you know tyler and james are probably going to win and bama wouldn't have even had a chance if they were there.

anyway if you haven't heard, season 11 is going to be all-stars, which I'm looking forward to, including the team that I find most important to be in an all-star edition, Spoiler: Rob and Amber (is it actually a spoiler to say which teams are going to be ON it?)

Amazing Race 10 was a dull season:

1. There wasn't enough conflict between the teams.
2. There wasn't enough within team conflict.
3. I didn't like any of the teams.
3. I didn't hate any of the teams. (I need to like some teams and dislike others to really enjoy the show).
4. There weren't enough "Why don't these poor people wash themselves every once in a while" comments.
4. For an unknown reason, I did not appreciate the beauty of the places they travelled as much as I have in the past.

I'm looking forward to the all-stars season.

Certainly the least exciting season finale every (especially after how good last year's was). No final challenge at the finish line? WTF? I knew it wasn't going to be good when it was only a 1 hour finale

I thought there was plenty of conflict between the teams. Te 3 teams formed the 6-pack and went against all others. Everyone hated the Blondes, and there was still conflict within the 6-pack between 'Bama and the Chos. Also all 3 of the final teams were at each others throat at least once in the final episode, and Rob & Kim were CONSTANTLY fighting. I thought it was a pretty good season.

I did think the final episode was a bit weak, get a cab to a location outside the city? Huh?

Looking forward to all stars, despite an "all star" show being somewhat overdone.

I'm all over the place below, but anyway...

There wasn't really much conflict between the 6 pack and the others. They were just separate.

The Chos loved everyone. Their love for the rest of the 6 pack was annoying. Probably because I didn't think that the other teams would do the same in their place.

Kentucky loved everyone. They were entertaining, but utterly incompetent.

Bama was hostile toward many teams, but the show didn't develop it. Bama rarely made mistakes and often found alternate routes to places. I wanted more about them. At one point in the season Rob said something like "I don't know why they are so hostile". I didn't know why they were either.

The blondes were rarely hostile and got along well with eachother. (Which I liked. I also like the scene when they tried to let the models skip bama. That was entertaining). I'm guessing that we will see more of them next season.

The conflict between Bama and the Chos was minor and encompassed in a single episode.

Rob and Kim fighting was entertaining - the cars constantly breaking down, him having fits, wandering through the middle of city streets moaning, the tomato scene, him choking up when talking about the million and how much it meant, etc. They may have been my favorite team - they were so dysfunctional.

Generally, I like teams that work well together and succeed, attack eachother constantly, but still appreciate one another, or teams that have a lot of hostility toward other teams.

Boring finale, the rest of the season I didn't love or hate, it started out well then just got stagnant.

I'm looking forward to the all-star season though, that should be interesting. They should put the Weavers in that one everyone hated them during the family season.

Missed the final leg! UGH!

In a completely unprecedented finish, two hot, athletic guys win the tenth installment of The Amazing Race. What's that you say? This has happened before? The first, second, fourth, and ninth seasons? Wow. I guess putting all my money on 'Bama was a bad idea, then, huh? http://blog.meevee.com/my_weblog/200...e_mo.html#more

UGH!!! I missed the whole second half of the last episode! My DVR didn't compensate for the game earlier in the day!

Well I'm glad the guys won even if I missed it. Almost all of my favorites were out pretty early in the race, and these were my final two favorites left. I just wish I could have seen it happen.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait for All-Stars.

I'm just happy the blondes went so far, now just to wait for their Playboy issue

Plus what is the deal with this F'n show? Teams bust their ass to get to a certain point and every single episode they bottle neck in the airport/train station/bus depot - It completely negates any effort, hence the reason Alabama stayed in so long.
