MTV's Punk'd
Anyone caught this new show called "Punk'd"? It's like candid camera for the celebs of the world. I think it's one of the better shows MTV has come up with, besides the Osbornes. Opinions anyone?
Pretty good show, it would probably be better without Ashton Kutcher though
would think about watching it, but its on MTV
Laughed extremely hard at what they did to Justin Timberlake.....but can't help feeling that the kid on the red carpet act is a poor rip-off of The Man Show boy.
half funny, half crap, all apathy.

Yeah, not really that funny either. |
I think it's ok, but really just a bunch of celebrities showing off what they can do to their stuff.
yeah! yeah! bring back classic footage of the sex pistols and the clash! um, what, it is NOT about that!?!?!? :p
I enjoy the show, its just classic to see Frankie Muniz (sp?) aka Malcolm in the Middle go on a swearing tangit over his Porche. Its what these people are in real life, when they dont think there on camera that makes it worth watching sometimes. Last one i saw they Punk'd Seth Green...He had the perfect look of "boy i know this looks bad and all, but it wasnt me!"
I liked it the few episodes I've seen. Ashton Kutcher amuses me.
I don't like Ashton Kutcher, but it is still pretty funny.
It's not bad, I like some of the stuff, but never been big into reality TV shows.
It's really well done... It'lll be gone in a week... it's MTV
It seems to be a bunch of celebrities showing that they have a sense of humor. Not a bad show.
I still don't understand the title of it. Punk'd? I thought it was about punk music. |
Heh, the Jessica Simpson one was great.

It's not too bad...I do like seeing that some of those celebrities out there have a sense of humor about things, though. I liked when they totaled Wilmer's car...the look on his face was classic.
I like the one where Mandy Moore was supposed to fix this guys trailer park, but instead it gets destroyed. The look on her face was priceless
yeah, this show is definately fun to watch, i thought it was funny when that guys escalade got ripped apart and he just stood there in awe, didn't stand up for himself or anything -- boy did they give him shit about that
It's kind of funny, but the idea has been done A MILLION FUCKING TIMES!
Not a fan of the Osbournes or MTV I tend to just scroll past. I am however a fan of practical jokes though. Some of these are really lame but some are priceless. The first one I saw was the one with Justin Timberlake and that was just great. I dont turn to MTV to watch the show but if I am channel surfing and I its on I'll prolly watch it.
I just caught an episode yesterday, the one with Jessica Beil. That one was funny. I heard the one with Fez from The 70's Show was good as well.
thank god that ashton kutcher isnt even in half of the skits...he sits back and watches like the voyeur he is while his cronies al and dax steal the show.
im amused by this show
I think some of the skits are quite funny, but I don't think it can last for long.
watched it the last night in the hospital... it was okay... not great but then again... it's not aimed at me.

TV Guide Reports...

I don't think anyone got "punk'd" by Kutcher when he said that Punk'd was over. I actually can't think of a thing I saw actually believing his lies.
And I agree with Tv Guide, I wish WB was just joking about Angel being canceled. |
hmmm... well, i've only seen a few episodes, but from what i saw i was mildly entertained.
however, i seriously started to hate the weirdo announcer... i mean, he's exactly the same as all of his targets, why don't they do something even worse to him? what i'm saying is, that i wonder if i'd enjoy the show even more if they had some no-name hosting the show each week... because, in the end, i still felt that these celebrities had still won. sure they'd been tricked... funny... haha... but because it was all supposedly set up by one of their celebrity friends, i just felt like it was their club, and they were playing in their club.... and that we, the viewers, were not involved... not sure, maybe its the format, or the maybe its the entire premise that seemed to polarise the viewer/reality tv aspect for me... can this really be called reality tv? do they even plug it as reality tv? just musing... |
The show definitely has potential.
There are more non-amusing pranks than ones that really make you think, "Wow, that was pretty good." Like the one where he was with Britney Spears where he tried to trick his camera crew into thinking he quit.. that was kinda pointless. The big planned out pranks were the best, like with Justin Timberlake thinking the govt was taking his stuff, with Seth Green at the party that gets busted, or with Outkast and the smashed car that was worth $315k. The rest seem like filler material :P I also think it'd be better if they hit up more well established musicians and actors. There were quite a few pranks that involved these off the wall people that make you think, "...and they are...?" Such as the one where the girl holds this woman's dog, and Ashton has some guy "kidnap" the dog from her hands. |
The one where they had Tommy Lee thinking he had hit a pedestrian was funny. And the one with OutKast and the $374K was well done. I always like the old one with Jessica Alba and the naked shopper.
