2 Fast 2 Furious

So I saw 2 Fast 2 Furious today and I must say I was very let down.

If you compare the two movies side by side then 2F2F is a better movie but it is missing the comic value of the first one. The first one was one of those movies that is so bad that it was great. The clearly inaccurate information, the horrible lines, the over the top characters, it made for a very enjoyable movie. 2F2F was more of your typical summer action flick where the "good guys" drove fast, import cars.

It was entertaining but was misssing that "something" from the first one which makes the first one a classic in my book. I mean I don't invision myself in a couple years sitting down with a buch of friends to watch 2F2F or quoting lines from it in everyday conversation.

Anyone else see it this weekend?

I seen 2f2f this weekend and it didn't really blow my skirt up. I thought the first one was a whole lot better. I was really expecting a whole lot more because of all the hype about it but it didn't deliver. Kool effects and kool cars but I'd have to give it a rating of 6 out of 10. Plus I was really wanting to see a whole lot more of the Nissan SkyLine.

I have not seen this movie and do not plan to until it comes out on video. These types of movies can be fun but they have no deep meaning. They are not made for rethinking your situation in life, they are made for "wouldnt it be cool if" purposes.

wow... I don't watch them in the theater because they aren't worth the US$10-20 if the wife tags along...

and as far as "deep meaning" summer movies are usually escapism movies...

The first one was one of the worst popular movies I've ever seen. I hope I'm not the only one who believes this.

Haven't seen it yet, but as long as it has sweet cars, hot chicks and explosions it's gonna be cool.

No, I'm not kidding.

The part I loved about this movie is this because they made it true. Car to car one of those rice burners cannot beat American Muscle without cheating. :P SUCK ON THAT RICERS!!!
Parts I hated, wrecking the domestics, barely touching the imports, the domestics they wrecked can't be remade, little imports there's too many of them to count. Also in the Nissan Skyline when they are flooring it to go over the bridge, he is only going 120 flooring it and then when he hits the NOS it goes to like 160-180? WTF! IT'S A SKYLINE AND SHOULD BE DOING THAT STOCK!!! When I was driving my 92 Passat before I got my 67 Mustang I would get up to 130 in that little stock 4 banger. And the Nissan Skyline is a 6 cylinder turbo charged, most likely tricked out by him, and hes flooring it and only doing 120 but then jumps 50 miles an hour when he hits NOS? WOW! he must have bought that skyline body from the junkyard and put a ford tempo engine in it then for it to be that crappy without NOS! :P
