On DVD May 2nd: Last Holiday, Family Stone, Hoodwinked
Last Holiday
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0408985/ Extras: Three Featurettes, including: "23 years in the making," "Last Look," and "Packing Light." Deleted Scenes, and Two Recipes. Genre: Comedy Hoodwinked http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0443536/ Extras: Commentary, Deleted and Extended Scenes, "How to make an Animated Film" Featurette, and a Music video. Genre: Animation/Comedy Family Stone http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0356680/ Extras: Two Commentaries, Casting Session featurette, behind the scenes featurette, Gag Reel, Q&A session with cast and a "Morton Family Strata" recipe... Genre: Comedy/Drama I wasn't expecting alot out of Hoodwinked because I thought the animation SUCKED. It did have a few funny parts though, like the singing goat and Twitchy the skwerl. The story was also an interesting twist on Rashômon but about 3/4th through it turned retarded and became extremely annoying. Final Thoughts: Singing Goat = Good, Singing Bunny = BAD... In one of the featurettes for Last Holiday they talk about the movie being 23 years in the making. That might be an interesting story if, for instance, the movie was fantastic and won 32 oscars, but it didn't. The movie isn't special in any way. It's not horrible but movies like this are made faster and more often than the disc it's printed on. I typed alot more about the movie but it was all bad so I cut down on it because I really don't think it deserves too many bad comments Family Stone.. Now there's a movie that deserves some bad comments.. no just kidding, I fell asleep before the opening credits were finished so I have no idea What's with recipes being added to DVDs extras lately? I've been seeing them on alot of movies.. Who the hell buys dvds for recipes?
