X-MEN 3
|
Damn, keep getting the broken icon. Any place I can download it?
|
i seen the trailer last night during 24. man Juggernaut looked whack as hell. It looked like they put magneto's helmet on the Governator and had him run thru some walls.

umm still works for me. you could try to go HERE then click on the trailor you want. |
I thought the first trailer sucked.. this one is showing promise. Believe me, I want this movie to kick ass, but it's still going over the top with the destroying of big landmarks and the rallying of the armies and shit.
|
I continuously wonder about the X-Men movies. Don't get me wrong, I like watching them. And I think they did a good job making enjoyable movies with the first two, but where do they get off on taking familiar characters and just making stuff up about them? The X-Men comics universe and the X-Men movies universe are like parallel universes in which you see the same actors doing totally different things. Except for Scott Summers. He's a whiny bitch in both.
I will say that I was very excited when I saw Angel grow his wings and jump out of the building. We shall see, we shall see. |
Looks good.
I just wish this was a television series. We all know the depth of the story lines in the Xmen. Imagine if this was made into an ongoing series. Of course, the costs are proably too prohibitive at this point, but one day it won't be. If they could match the level of writing from the books or even the films so far, it would be a great series. |
That's asking WAY too much. Sci-fi television doesn't have the audience to support big budgets. There's a reason why Andromeda is broadcast on the WB and casts Kevin Sorbo.
|
I couldn't agree more... A better example than Andromeda would be Farscape. A much larger production budget and a more complex story line. Where is it now?
X-men has he themes and stories that would make HBO worthy. The problem is, sci-fi shows don't draw the same numbers. ...but one can dream. PS: I am trying to forget that Mutant X was ever made. |
Generation X was the made-for-TV event of the century for me.
Well.. *I* enjoyed it. |
I had never heard of Generation X the tv movie. I want to see it.
|
Looks just as interesting as the first teaser trailer (which seemed like a full length trailer also if I remember correctly)
Some of the graphics and wirework so far seem a little "iffy." I know graphics don't make a movie but you gotta use it right or leave it out. None of the X-Men trailers so far for the first or second movies have impressed me that much besides "wow look at that character!!!!" but they've always delivered, so here's to hoping it's a great movie. I know I fucking loved X-Men 2, it was one of the best experiences I had in the theater. |

I wish I were in charge of making comic book movies. I would not have had Green Goblin in Spider-man 1. At least have the Lizard or someone early on as the first villan. I would have had the original X-Men (Cyclops/Scott Summers, Marvel Girl/Jean Grey, Angel/Warren Worthington, Beast/Hank McCoy and Iceman/Bobby Drake) fight the original antagonists (Magneto and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants with Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Mastermind and the Toad) in the first X-Men movie. Not having Beast until the THIRD movie is silly. Of course, I'm a purist, and the movie realities are clearly diffferent than the comic books realities. |
The tralier looks nice to me, the thing is, I hated the Phoenix Saga so much. At least it doesn't look like there are going to be mutant aliens in this one.

wow, the trailer looks impressive, I can't wait!

If they keep it simple, I think this movie could be done really well; even with all the different storylines...I still think it could be pulled off. If they just write the damn story, they'll be fine. As long as they don't try to overwhelm us with big special effects....*coughcoughMr.Lucas*cough...it could be great |
Is the Juggernaut teaming up with people out of character, or did I get the wrong impression of him from the cartoon show?
|
I've heard so many bad things about the production of this movie, I'm afraid of suckage... I'll see it anyways, but I'm going in with an expectation of massive suckage.

I dont like the way Juggernaut looks either, but at least its Bullet Tooth Tony playing him.

better watch it, Juggs will make you his bitch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4qdX6_9XgI -Mav |
Um.. I saw the trailer when I watched V for Vendetta. Am I seeing things, or did I see Dark Phoenix teamed up with Magneto?
I'm confused.. |
Well the movies are a different universe than the comic book or cartoon. Just like when Spider-man fought the Green Goblin before he fought Doc Oc. It's a marketing decision made by people who may have never picked up a comic book.

Must... see... crappy... movie! |
hey thundermare, I mean Mav, thats pretty funny.

We should remember that anyone can make a trailer look good, but that doesn't necessarily translate into a good movie. Besides, some trailers suck, while the actually movies shine. I, for one, am not impressed by what I see. I find it to be a sort of bastardization of the X-Men story. I know they want to make some variations to the mythology of the X-Men, by some of the variations stray too far and often in unnecessary ways. I think part of the problem is that the studio committed to doing only three movies, and as such felt a need to make this movie somewhat conclusive. By doing this, they are prematurely introducing or have prematurely introduced characters and story lines that seem aberrant and inconsistent. In the end, it could turn out to be a great movie, but right now I don't see anything that indicates that. I realize that I am one of the few, if not the only, dissenting voices, but I am guided by honesty...sorry...
|
When will we see Gambit? Ever? He is an extremely amazing character that I refuse to live without.
|
I completely agree mistWalker...I have very low hopes for this movie. As for seeing Gambit, the unfortunate answer seems to be: never.

Well hopefully this one will be good. I liked the first not the second.

are you serious? the first movie got the series' foot in the door, but the second film proved to be better in acting, plot, effects, and character development. I've never heard anyone say they like X-Men better than X-Men 2. Interesting! |

One thing really bothers me in the trailer; the part where you see the X-men standing a perfect, evenly spaced clichéd line.
It makes me think that a director who would allow something as cheesy as that to happen in his movie, and also be proud enough of it to put it in the trailer, would lack the kind of common sense necessary to present impossible events in a realistic fashion. |
Quote:
I'm disgusted that something so cheesy could be put in an otherwise "realistic" comic book movie. Straight lines are NEVER realistic. Never. The only way the line can be done well is if the mutant war is fought with Red Rover. Red Rover, Red Rover. Send Juggernaught right over. |

in the original dark phonix story line .. she teamed up with the hellfire club due to a very clever mind control illusion ability.. remember jean is human while the phonix is incarnite. take emotions from a human give them to a cosmic being that never had them and then a woman to boot.. (no offence meant) and bam. it happens ... heh screw you all i want a fast ball special |
