That was done in Painter with a tablet?

I am amazingly impressed. I thought it was a photo...

And, it's adorable.

That is beautiful frogza.

You got the little animal just right. The tree bark makes me dizzy, it's so fluid. However my favorite part of the picture are the plant in the corner. Half of it in the shade and half in the sun, that effect is wonderful.

It's people like you who make me jealous that I have no artistic talents.

Great piece of work. How long did it take to create?

Great work! The squirrel is brilliant.

The wood looks really smooth on the exterior, was that intentional?

Fantastic work!! If you lived in northern California, I'd have a job for you!!
Love the texture you created with the "brush" strokes and your portrayal of light was spot on! And I Do like Chipmunks a lot...

Which tablet do you have? Did you work on top of a photo or do it all from tabla rasa?

I use a wacom 6x8 tablet. I do it all from scratch, no tracing, looking at different pictures for reference. I start with my broad strokes getting the general feel for lighting, motion, etc. then work my way down to smaller more specialized custom brushes.

I have been painting with oils for 8 years now so when I started with a tablet and Painter I just took my painting procedure with me and it seems to work fine for me.
