new, and just showing some of my own work

im brand new to tilted, but i already have a hunch i'll spend most of my time here in the art forum.
i love art; both as a consumer and creator of it [even though im not that great at it].
i figured i'd post some of my own pieces as a lame introduction.

i love negative feedback just as much as i do positive.
it's all constructive in my opinon.

Welcome to the TFP! The Tilted Artwork board is what drew me in, too.
I really like the first piece. Looks sharp. And "earl grey" there makes me chuckle, seeing a snooty british man's head in a box... and now it's kinda disturbing.
Anyway, nice stuff all around and I look forward to seeing more.

I REALLY like the first two pieces you've got up there. They're all good, but those two especially stand out to me.

chelsea_9 08-07-2005 10:29 PM

thanks to you both!

the teapot is on this.. display thing my mom made for it. i should've rotated the picture before i posted, but whatever. whats done is done.

and i actually won best overall at the art show the first piece was in. it took me like... 3-4 months to do, so i'm really proud of the results. im still surprised at how many people like it though! like most artists, all i can see are the mistakes in it. but, it's the only piece of art i've done where i can easily brush off any negative thoughts i may have towards it, just because it took so long.

but thanks again for the input!

i love the last pic. you have some serious skill.

chelsea_9 08-07-2005 10:41 PM

haha, wow. im flippin' blushing right now.

doubleaught 08-07-2005 11:48 PM

love the last two. had to scroll back up and check it out again... good stuff!

They are all good, but I like the second one the best. The third reminds me of the music video from "Land of Confusion" by Genesis which is the most disturbing thing I've ever seen in my entire life. Sorry :)

The second one is really great though. Especially on metal.

Great, we've got another talented individual to entertain us!

I love the beatles work, it's something I'd like hanging in my house (if I owned one).

Please keep sharing your work. :)

thanks again to all the replies.

cinnles - once the summer is over and i can stop saving my money for vacations an whatnot... most of my funds will be going into canvases and paint.
i have a few ideas that have been brewing for a while, so i'll probably post them as well.

nice work all around.
not to add to your blushing,
but i'm partial to the first pic.

i admire your dedication to stick with one piece for so long.
it's no wonder it came out so well.
