new online persona
 

i sat down to do work for one of my classes and ended up making this...

I have to make a simple site for an Advanced Japanese class I'm in and I've been planning on revamping my personal site into a much simpler blog but I also wanted to update my old online persona. Starting with a nickname my gf gave me I started to change it with wordplay and eventually arrived at something useful and relatively unique:

Kanji: 狡賢い白狐　
Kana: ずるがしこいしろぎつね/ずるがしこいびゃこ
Romaji: Zurugashikoi shirogitsune/zurugashikoi byakko
English Translation: Smartass White Fox

I drew this to accompany the concept. I started from a photo of part of a fox and finished the body myself. Drawn with an Intuos3 6x8 tablet and photoshop.

The red sign at the bottom is another play on words. it's similar to my name in japanese, but instead of reading "deebu" which means nothing, it says "debu" which means fatass.
