It's good, it's interesting. What is the thing across the side of her face? The edges seem a little sharp there, too, especially since the rest of the image is pretty blurred. I hate to say this, but it almost looks like the reflection-picture was added using Microsoft Paint.

I don't own MS Paint....that's an outline of my arm, by the way
I kind of thought the same thing, Art. While it reflects both graphics and photography, the look is a bit intense? But just the eye alone without a reflection didn't work either... *sigh* |

Out of all of them, I like the second best. I had a thought; could the reflection be in its original color? That might look good. Edit- Another thought: distortion from the curve of the cornea? |

Honestly both pieces (the different eye reflections I mean) convey a sadness to me. Perhaps try a smiling picture image?
I like them both very much, I think they work. But if you're going for something happy go lucky then it doesn't work for that. But if youre looking for reflective, I think these work very well.

what i'm handing in
Obviously, this isn't my name, but the lettering and spacing is very close. My actual work usually goes the far ends of the spectrum-from humorous to very serious. Most of the students, I've found, seem to follow a pattern from one thing to another, so that their final portfolio work holds no surprises or mysteries. I did not want a cover that necessarily was all-encompassing; rather, one that would make the person who saw it wonder what could be inside.
Thanks to BerMuda for his input and for everyone who cared to comment and correct. Extra eyes always helps. |

I like the finals much more. I saw the first and was going to say something like "go with something a little more mysterious and abstract." Looks like you beat me to it
