to me, they have always had more of a smoke or cloud like feel to them, but im all for others' interpretations

I like the second one, makes me think I'm seeing a ball of fire streaking across the heavens.

I'm just wrapping up a printmaking class in which we learned about many major methods of printmaking while producing some of our own rudimentary examples. For the intaglio methods we did a drypoint, but I'd be negligent if I didn't say I was most interested in playing with mezzotint.

You have got to try it. It is very labor intensive, the preparing of the plate with the mezzontint rocker, but the textures you can get are quite beautiful. I usually work with intaglio or drypoint. some day i would like to try lithogroaphy as well
