I recently decided to do a large (2'x4.5') painting of a robot sketch I've had sitting around for a while, and thought "what the hell? I'll post my progress on the TFP"...

Basically, I'll update this thread everytime I make an advancement on the project. Hopefully it'll be an interesting view into my creative process as I make my first "real" painting.

For today, I've got the initial sketch. I might have pictures of the canvases with the image transferred later today.

This sketch is a little rough, but I'll clean up the details when I move on to the canvas.

inharmony: thanks for the kind words. I just laid down the first coat for the background (which I've changed from the sketch), so I should have some progress pics in an hour or two.

clavus: he may be smiling, but inside he's just a scared little girl. (I'm hoping cryptic non-sensical statements like this used to explain my art will earn me some art "cred")
