First new work in Five years
1 Attachment(s)
I just started doing artwork again after five year rut.
It was in me, I had the tools, I just never started one. An inspiration to send a thought to a friend, started the spark. And this is what came out of it. And now I'm really to do even more. Below is a picture of a kitten sleeping in the sunlight off a window, with a rose in it's paws. The yellow is for friendship, with lavander highlights for enchantment. It's done in the medium of colored pencils. When I do art, I tend to do it in intense short times, so this was done in one night. I've taken a few, to show different angles, and to show what I work on. Hope you enjoy, and I know more will be coming. |

I need to work on my skill in dealing with fabrics,
and take more time on a piece, be willing to come back to it. I could have added more detail, but I felt I just needed to get it out. |

I did this on my art table, it depends on my mood though,
sometimes on a board laying on the couch. |

For some reason I felt as if I had to pull the table out into the middle of the room,
while I paced around it and thought and looked at it from different angles. Even though it's a soft tone to picture, I did it with such passion. I just felt the raw energy, I hadn't felt in a long time. I loved it. |
Thanks for sharing!
Now that the spark has finally been reignited, I hope you continue to produce more! A piece of your art with one of your favorite poems together would prove rather superb I am sure. (just a thought) |
two of my favorite subjects...
kitties and roses :) Keep up the motivation, rogue. Can't wait to see more |
Nice work Rogue.
There is a great sense of peace and romance there my friend. It has the quiet and tenderness that only a sleeping kitty can inspire. Seeing the work in process is very cool too. Thanks for sharing. |
Nice work. Don't be afraid to just "get it out". If that's where you're most comfortable at the moment, go with it. There are the days that I feel like creating random scribbles on the sketchpaper, and the days that I sit down for three days and do a knotwork design.
I like the art table, as well. I've just got an old board that I use for my larger works. What amuses me the most is the fact that of all the random debris in the shot, I notice the "Paranoia" box. Gamer's eyes, I guess :D |
Thank you, I appreciate it.
I hope to get more out soon. |
