Still trying to refine some space/planet stuff in PSP 8 and in the process created this.

Hey, now you're getting the hang of it! Maybe soften the upper edge of the atmosphere a bit...

What is the base artwork for the planet? It looks really good. Did you create it or 'borrow' it from somewhere else?

right, it does need more of a dispersal on the upper edge.

I created the planet in PSP 8.

Edit: re-read title, I guess "barren" would cover the lack of oceans, wouldn't it? Sorry.

Very fine ! This could be the cover for a Sci-FI novel or an illustration inside.
Maybe a movie poster background. I once had a PSP program that allowed
you to make planet-like-images that would show atmosphere layers over a
sphere and you could add clouds, water and surface effects. Stopped working
after a few months.
