Just testing out some new black light ink i got, thought i would share.. The eyes are already red. The ink goes in clear and shows only in ultraviolet light.

what is the life on the glowing in does it glow forever???

J-DaWg 08-27-2004 11:03 AM

thats very cool ... Since it goes in clear it must be hard to work with, no? very intersting stuff, where'd you buy it from?

I've been wanting to try some of that stuff for a while! I heard either Mom's or Starbrite is making a UV ink now days. Who's are you using?

Unknown on the glowing life time... I'll let ya know tho. its supposed to be organic so hopefully a long time. I bought this ink from skin candy.com or something. i got the flyer at work. It is very hard to work with . Be careful tho There are some uv inks with sulphur and metallic particls that have a high rejection rate.

Actually, I think skincandy might be where I saw it most recently, it was linked from a tattoo tech info forum I peruse quite often. I was on their site a few days ago, they've got some incredible colors! Are you working this stuff with the aid of a blacklite, or just trying to do it under regular lighting and hope it turns out? I've heard of people trying both, but I've heard it's MUCH easier with a blacklite in the workstation.

Do you put the clear stuff right over the top of the regular dark ink so that the same lines are seen, but differently depending on the lighting? Not sure that made sense, but do you know if the glow-y stuff is radioactive?

MoNoXiDe_XXX 09-03-2004 02:10 PM

It not radio active. Umm not to sure what you mean , I think the line i put over other lines are a tad lighter. darker? whatever you can mix it with colors to get glowy colors.

whatever it is, I like it.

I found the following company that supplies UV inks. Here's the link to FAQ's for the stuff. It's pretty cool sounding.... maybe I'll give it a try.
