mmmmmm.........salmon

so i did a salmon last week......and i figure it's art so....that's why it's here i guess.

so.......here we go.......fillet the beast and "rub" in either teriyaki, soy or worchestersterster sauce....this fish got the worstersterster

http://volcano.photobucket.com/album...man/salmon.jpg

next...."rub" in semi melted real butter.

http://volcano.photobucket.com/album...on__butter.jpg

never enough garlic...

http://volcano.photobucket.com/album...mon_garlic.jpg

"rub" garlic into the meat

http://volcano.photobucket.com/album...on_Garlicc.jpg

about a 1/4 inch thick of sour creme....and cover entire fish

http://volcano.photobucket.com/album...sour_cream.jpg

sprinkle dill, and quite a bit of it too on whole fish.

http://volcano.photobucket.com/album...almon_dill.jpg

then a whack of real parmesean cheese

http://volcano.photobucket.com/album..._parmasean.jpg

liberal amounts of black pepper

http://volcano.photobucket.com/album...ack_pepper.jpg

and the fixins' are potatoes, mushrooms, leeks and prawns.....

http://volcano.photobucket.com/album...n_fixxinss.jpg

and the baby on the grill........fuckin awesome

http://volcano.photobucket.com/album...n_on_grill.jpg

cook fish on a grill at medium heat until the oils from the fish bubble through...........

try it....you'll love it.............enjoy

Ahh, I'd like to. We just don't have a good fish market around here. :(
It's either catfish fillets from Brookshires, or catch your own lake fish.

Maybe a can find a mail order fish market.

vermin 07-23-2004 07:34 PM

Would this work with canned tuna in a pan in an oven? Or is that bastardizing it a little too much? Any idea how hot an oven would have to be to simulate a grill?

Would that really be a problem?

bundy 08-05-2004 09:58 PM

what a great series.
idea and execution are fantastic fly.

i'm positively salivating.

in my life there are two delicious meats that occupy most of my waking thoughts... tuna and salmon... hmmm....

i'm almost tempted to do a photo series like this... "in the style of Flyman"

doodlebird 08-06-2004 12:20 PM

do it, bundy!

bernadette 08-06-2004 01:04 PM

i smile every single time i see that john lemon cutting board. :)

i love lots of seafoods, but salmon ain't one of 'em... as delicious as your pics makes it look.

but darn tootin' i'd be clamoring all about your pan of prawns!
mmmm prawns. *licks lips*

splck 08-06-2004 01:17 PM

Bern, you have to try the fly's salmon..it will convert you.

Lewis 08-10-2004 12:53 PM

I'll bear it in mind for salmon chanted evening...

Konichiwaneko 08-10-2004 01:04 PM

damn that looks great. Reminds me of a great baked salmon topped with garlic affredo shells I had a few months back.

I'm not even a big fish fan, but some fish like Salmon, Tuna, and Flounder just tells me I should convert.

myMHz 08-10-2004 11:12 PM

You know I don't really like fish that much but that looks really good. Will it work as well with other types of fish?
I think I'm gonna give that a try.

Unga 08-11-2004 05:40 PM

you're making me crave some fresh fish mmm
