Large colored character please C&C
1 Attachment(s)
Give me some C&C if you want. I'm going to color this soon but it will take a while because its rather large (full resolution is 1200x1800) the character is named ayumi and I created her a while back in high school.
EDIT: I edited the lineart to give it a bit of depth with line width variation and fixed a few mistakes. EDIT: colored version is up now |

In case anyone is interested, here is the initial sketch. Sorry about double posting ^_^;

To return the compliment.... nice work. I particularly like the initial sketch. It has a lot of character, and it is more individual to you. Maybe worth developing that. I know we all suffer from the tendancy to try to make things look neat and acceptable, rather than messily exploring our own individuality. That's risky - especially when others are going to see it. Yes?

I love the girl's outfit...so sexy! :D
|
Lewis: Thank you ^__^ I too enjoy the initial sketch. I've already explored my individuality quite a bit. I have shown some of those more explorative works on these boards in the past and I don't find it all too risky =D right now I'm trying to create a very polished image though, and so, the sketchy style takes a backseat while i create this peice.
kelly: thanks ^__^ |
I very much like the style, color, and line quality. I really like the line quality.
However, her proportions are kind of off. Her breasts are much too high, even for small ones. I think if you moved them down about half to three quarter's thier current height they would be more accurately placed. Overall great job! |
marsfyre, you surprize me on a daily basis...
|
yaki: sorry, you're wrong, i looked at a reference picture and drew my sketch off of it, I didn't change the positioning of the chest area. Mind you I almost agree, but I used a reference picture to try and get away from drawing the same body type over and over and that is where the breasts were.
animosity: thanks I think =D |
I stand that they're too high. The curve of the breast does not start at the collarbone.
A tutorial I've found useful: http://www.sequentialtart.com/archiv.../bb_0702.shtml |
ok i see what happened now, I actually jsut failed to communicate how far shes actually supposed to be leaning back
|
Very cool! I really love the style of the paint job.
|
excellent as usual, marsfyre.
it's very revealing and illuminating to see the work forming the underlying structure for your graphic and color effects. thanks much! |
