tablet or mouse

I'm not in the class a you all are but I do like to draw and dribble.
I was just wondering what you guys and gals prefer. Using a mouse or those touch sensitive tablets/pads

I perfer using a tablet, i have a Wacom i use all the time, its like my lil sketch pad. I don't rember what size i got, but i think its the medium size. Its not that huge Jumbo one, nor is it that lil tiny one either, i belive is about 8x7. But yeah 100% tablet, they work great for long paintings or doodling.

if you draw you need a tablet, that's it...

I just bought a 4x5 wacom graphire 3. It is quite nice but there is a learning curve. I can't draw lines quite right or quite smooth yet. See my next post for my first tablet sketch.

haha, they're cheap enough...99 bucks for a 4x5, not cheap, but not expensive at all...it's what i use, and it's perfect :)

Plain old mouse for goofing around on the computer. When I want to draw something GOOD, I use bic pen on paper. Sometimes pencil, but ink looks better. Scanner's buried under desk litter, so most of what you see from me will be MSpaint, or the photo editing stuff that came with my digital camera (better airbrush).

Wacom is where its at!

Tablets really are superior when drawing and painterly effects are done digitally.

If one cannot afford the elite Wacom (like myself) I suggest looking at the Aiptek series tablets. They're almost as good as Wacoms for about 2/3 the price.

i use my mouse... its a ball mouse and its crap, but it gets the job done.

Real hands are good too, then a scanner. Can take a lifetime to master....
