Tulips

I did this today using water colors for the first time in years. And I realised how many special techniques I've forgotten *sigh*

oh well. It still turned out pretty good:

beautiful.

I can never paint/watercolor, etc...kinda sad, really. It gets lost in translation from my head to my fingers

yeah water colors are difficult to master. Why don't you practice some more then? :D

beautiful.

there is a softness in you.

having it is one step,
getting it out is another.

well done.

we hope you show more like this.

Lovely. Just back from my honeymoon on a paradise island, and I was immediately transported back to the scents and sounds.....

So, what's the problem about painting yourself? You obviously have a talent here. Watercolours are the medium I always put people off in the first instance because they are so damned difficult!

Yes I have talent but like I said I prefer drawing "live" and I can't draw and pose at the same time. So I want another one to draw me instead :D

I know what you mean :(

if you want to learn water colors some day then make sure you rent a book about tips/tricks. Those books can really help you getting great results faster :D

Lewis 06-26-2004 02:05 PM

Hey, Nancy, if you really want to learn about watercolours, just do it! Books of tips and tricks will only show you what others have found out, and not what you can find out.

Be brave, be original, be creative....

It feels like I'm posting everywhere all of a sudden, but I just realized how much joy I get out of looking at all of these, and I keep forgetting to post as much.

Nancy, I this piece is just wonderful.
